Creates a new event trigger that monitors and acts
upon the occurrence of log events of given criteria.

Parameters

Switches
- /?
(NTXP)
- Displays help.
- /d description
(NTXP)
- Specifies a detailed description of the event trigger.
- /eid event_id
(NTXP)
- Specifies a specific event ID for which the event
trigger should monitor.
A valid event_id is any number from 1 to 65535.
- /l log
(NTXP)
- Specifies the event log(s) to monitor.
Valid types include:
- * (default)
- APPLICATION
- Directory log
- DNS server
- LOG
- SECURITY
- SYSTEM
- /p password
(NTXP)
- Specifies the password of the user account that is
specified in /u.
- /rp password
(NTXP ONLY)
- Specifies the password of the user account that is
specified in /ru. If omitted
when specifying a user account,
SchTasks prompts you
for the password and obscures the text you type.
Tasks run with with permissions of the NT
Authority\System account do not require a password and
SchTasks does not
prompt for one.
- /ru [Domain\]User | "System"
(NTXP ONLY)
- Runs the tasks with the permission of the specified
user account. By default, the task runs with the permissions
of the user logged on to the computer running
SchTasks.
- /s computer
(NTXP)
- Specifies the name or IP address of a remote computer
(do not use backslashes). The default is the local computer.
- /so source_name
(NTXP)
- Specifies an event source for which the event
trigger should monitor.
- /t source_name
(NTXP)
- Specifies an event type for which the event trigger
should monitor. Valid values include:
- ERROR
- FAILUREAUDIT
- INFORMATION
- SUCCESSAUDIT
- WARNING
- /tk task_name
(NTXP)
- Specifies the task/command/line to execute when
the event trigger conditions are met.
- /tr trigger_name
(NTXP)
- Specifies a friendly trigger_name to associate
with the event trigger.
- /u [Domain\]User
(NTXP)
- Runs the command with the account permissions of
the user specified by User or Domain\User.
The default is the permissions of the current logged
on user on the computer issuing the command.
