Controls the types of counters that can be viewed using
System Monitor.
Syntax
DISKPERF
[-y[d|v]
| -n[d|v]]
\\computer_name]
Reports whether disk performance counters are enabled on the
local or specified computer and identifies the counters enabled
(physical drives, logical drives, or both):

Parameters
- \\computer_name
(NT3.1)
- Specifies the computer on which you want to see or set
disk performance counter use. If a computer name is not
specified, the local computer is assumed.
Switches
- -n
(NT3.1)
- Sets the system to not use any disk performance counters
when the system is restarted.
- -nd
(NT2000)
- Disables disk performance counters for physical drives
when the system is restarted.
- -nv
(NT2000)
- Disables disk performance counters for logical drives
when the system is restarted.
- -y
(NT3.1)
- Sets the system to start both physical and logical
disk performance counters when the system is restarted.
- -yd
(NT2000)
- Enables disk performance counters used for measuring
performance of physical drives when the system is restarted.
This is the default setting.
- -yv
(NT2000)
- Enables disk performance counters used for measuring
performance of logical drives when the system is restarted.
