The Maremma originated in Italy and is named after the plains of Maremma which have been used for centuries as grazing land and are believed to be descendants of the white working dogs of the Magyars.





A majestic, large dog with a thick white weather-proof coat, agile, with a preference for the outdoors, he is muscular and strongly built. Independent by nature and somewhat aloof they are magnificent guarding dogs.
