Brief Essay

Discuss DNA

DNA is the blue print of life. Without DNA, there would be no living things. There is DNAin all of our cells throughout our bodies. DNA has four letters for genetic codes. A,T,G, and C. A stands for Adenonine, T stands for Thymine, G stands for Guinine, and C stands for Cytosine. A and T pair up in the helix, and G and C pair up. They never pair up differently. C will never pair up with A, G will never pair up with T and so on.

In a complete DNA strand, there are three billion genetic codes. You can not fill in spaces or gaps that are missing in a strand with parts of a strand from a different organism. It is impossible. We made a DNA strand to show us what one looks like, and how the genetic codes match up. It was somethin that we could see and do in reality in stead of looking in a yext book or seeing a DNA strand on display. We did it ourselfs, and that helps us get a better understanding. You can not extract DNA from dead organisms that are found in amber. The blood cells from the animal are all dried up.

DNA stands for Deoxyribonucleic Acid.
