REY ADEL'S PROSE
A ROCK'S TALE

Yes, it is true. But, the fact isn't incredible. For years, we have existed at peace until your race came into being.

"What do you mean?"

You humans are only a splash of light in our midst. Your existence is barely a tiny hint of a second compared to us. Yet, you seemed not to like your stay on this earth.

Smiling, relieved, focused and out of mind, I walked away and pondered on that small tale by a massive lonesome boulder, the reminder of a-thousand-year-ago eruption of a nearby volcano.

My strides were straight now across a path of cemented walk where in between them each step, tiny marigolds are superimposed among its dark green leaves.

I was then experiencing elation. The one I love will be back someday from a greener pasture. When? I know she would find a way.I know she won't be lost. Neither hope.
