James Paul Bittle, age 89 of Powell, formerly of Clinton, passed away Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Jefferson City.

He was born Dec. 31, 1910 in Anderson County.

Before retiring he worked at Bush Brothers Canning Factory in Clinton. He was a Untied States Army veteran.

Preceded in death by: Parents, Ancil and Mollie Overton Bittle.

Survivors: Special freinda at Our House Nursing Home, Linda Walker, special friend, Dr. Donnie Black and wife Barbara.

Graveside service was held 10 am Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville with full military honors being conducted by East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard. Friends called at their convenience at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton.
