Funeral services were held Monday at Springhill Baptist Church in Claxton for Norma Townsend Beets, 50 of 1200 Fowler Street Clinton, who died Friday at her home. The Rev. Albert Walters officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Beets had been ill for three months a daughter said. She was a native of Knox County and had lived in Clinton for six years.

Survivors include her husband, Clyde Beets of Clinton; daughters, Teresa Garner of Claxton; Berna Bell and Patricia Loy, both of Clinton; sons, Clyde L. Beets Jr. of Claxton; James T. Beets of Knoxville; Larry W. Beets and John A. Beets, both of Clinton; Patricia Melton of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews.
