Floyd F. Beets Jr., 68 of Heiskell died Saturday in his residence.

Mr. Beets worked as records officer with the Department of Energy for several years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed golf, camping and painting.

He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd F. Beets Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Rhea Beets of Heiskell; daughters and son-in-law, Vickie Beets of Kingston and Rhonda and Steve Jordan of Chattanooga; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Cyd Beets of Memphis; granddaughters, Christina and Sarah Jordan of Chattanooga; mother, Janie Foust Beets of Clinton; sisters, Mary Neil Crawford and Betty Blac, both of Clinton; brothers, Kenneth Beets of Chattanooga and James “Jimmy” Beets of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was Monday in Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with Judge Wheeler Rosenbalm officiating. Burial was Tuesday in Sartin Cemetery.
