Harold David Beck, 97 of Kentucky Avenue Clinton died Sunday at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mr. Beck was born May 25, 1896 in Towanda, PA to the late Walter S. and Minnie Reese Beck.
He retired after working 20 years as a sales engineer with the Architecture Hardware Co. in Columbus, OH.
Mr. Beck was a member of First Baptist Church in Clinton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Sowers Beck, in June 1986 and by a son, Harold David Beck, Jr. in October of 1987.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Jane and L. Bruce Venable of Cincinnati, OH; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Wallace Beck of Grand Junction, CO; grandchildren, Thomas David Beck of Rison, CA; Janice Larson and David Warren Beck, both of Grand Junction, CO; David Lawrence Venable of Tucson, AZ; Linda V. Boehk of Ann Arbor, MI; 12 great-grandchildren; and a nephew, W. A. Bowling of Clinton.
Services were Tuesday night at the First Baptist Church of Clinton with the Rev. Samuel Dean officiating. Burial was 11 am Wednesday at Sunset Cemetery. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
