Charles Beach, 90 of Lake City, died Monday at Lake City Health Care Center.

An Anderson County native, he was born April 13, 1902, to the late Burton and Margaret Turnbill Beach.

Mr. Beach was a retired coal miner and a member of Island Ford Baptist Church. Mr. Beach’s nickname was Bear Hunter.

He was a Navy veteran who served during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Vaughn Harness Beach of Lake City; a step-daughter, Loretta Seiber of Briceville, and several nephews and two nieces.

Graveside services were held today (Wednesday) at Island Ford Baptist Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Harness officiating. Cox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
