1. Collect quotes from the web or funny jokes or sayings that people you know have said.
2. Type them into a word processor or write them out - spaced a few lines apart.
3. Cut each quote separately so it's on a separate piece of paper.
4. Fold the pieces and put them in a large glass bowl that has enough space at the top for a hand to get through freely.
5. When entertaining guests, you can ask them to choose one as their "fortune" or just for fun.
6. This is also a great idea for playing charades or other games, even with children (if you don't get the chair in musical chairs, you have to pick a slip and do what it says).
