Sarah K. Hluchan

If you're here you probably followed a link from Kris Carroll's Horse-Country.Com, the oldest Equestrian Site on the World Wide Web. That or else you've known me forever.

I'm currently a second semester senior at Drew University in Norther New Jersey. I am a BA candidate in Political Science with a minor in Creative Writing. I am currently interning for a Non-Profit working on public relations and advocacy and policy research. In the future I hope to do that full time, and possibly go to graduate school in Washington D.C. or Philadelphia to get my masters in policy. I have had my work published in daily and weekly newspapers and served on the staff of the NJPA Best 4 Year College Paper from 2001-2003.

Beyond academics my interests include horses, feminism and activism and photography. I have been riding since 1992 and I own a thoroughbred gelding named Regal. I have been actively involved in feminism at Drew, living in the Womyn's Concerns House and serving as a board member of the committee to run Sexual Assault Awareness Week in 2003, and as the tri-chair of Take Back The Night March in 2004. I have been interested in photography since I first held a digital camera at age 13. I have designed photo layouts of the campus paper, had a photo published in The Courier Post and am currently studying digital photography at Drew.

For photos and more information you can visit my (temporary) Drew Website here. It is under construction, and I will be looking for a new host come graduation time.
