Buffy turned and looked at Spike standing in front of him. He had already
taken off his black coat, and sat at the foot of the stairs. His black
tee shirt clung to his muscular chest as his elbows rested on his knees
and he looked at her. She frowned at his suggestive grin. "No Spike. We
aren't doing that." She grimanced as she moved, her long wound ached so
intensely, causing her head to hurt too. He stood up quickly and gently
grabbed her elbow. "You need to lay down again, slayer. Get your strength
back. We can't have a weak chosen one in sunnydale for long." She let his
cool hands hold her and lead her to the couch. She reclined with a sigh,
and he sat carefully at the foot of the couch, pulling away, and not touching
her. He didn't want to make her angry. But she stretched out, relaxing,
her ankles and feet were soon resting on his lap. He stared at them, wondering
if he should touch them, or leave her be. He glanced at her. Her face was
peaceful, but full of pain, her eyes smoothly closed and one hand curved
up over her face, her fingers intertwined in her golden hair. He bit his
lip cautiously and ever so quietly touched her feet with the tips of his
cold fingers. She stirred slightly, as if she liked it. Then he enveloped
her feet with both of his hands, massaging them, caressing them. They were
so small and warm, they fit so beautifully into his large hands. His one
hand smoothed up the outside of her leg gently, and then back down. She
sighed. He smiled. A little while later he was lost in his daydreams, carressing
her feet, he didn't notice that she had awaken, and was now watching him
with attentive eyes. She leaned forward and touched his face slightly with
her fingertips. Startled, he turned and looked at her, pulling his hands
abruptly off of her skin. She just looked at him, and then slowly turned
her body, putting her feet down at the end where her head was, and laying
her head on his lap. She closed her eyes and snuggled against his abs,
one of her hands holding his bicep. He just looked down at her, wonder
filling his blue eyes. He stretched his head back, and looked up at the
cieling, closing his eyes thankfully. Then he pulled her deliciously warm,
precious body closer to him, cradling her...just then, the door swung open
and the huge soulful vampire strode in.
