| JUST BEFORE NINE A.M. EST ON SEPTEMBER 11,2001, THE UNTHINKABLE, HORRIFIC ATTACK BEGAN AGAINST THE U.S. AND ITS PEOPLE ... THE TWIN TOWERS AT THE WORLD TRADE CENTER IN NEW YORK CITY WERE HIT BY TWO AIRPLANES...ONLY MINUTES APART....THOUSANDS ARE BELIEVED DEAD-INNOCENT CIVILIANS AND RESCUE WORKERS. OUR COUNTRY WILL NEVER AGAIN BE THE SAME... |

| SHORTLY AFTER THE WTC ATTACKS...THE PENTAGON WAS HIT BY ANOTHER PLANE...ONE OTHER PLANE CRASHED IN PENNSYLVANIA AS WELL... |
| As fire and smoke blind the view of what was once the world trade center twin towers...the statue of liberty stands strong and unyeilding... a quiet symbol of unity, justice and freedom for all Americans...may our nation continue to pull together to overcome this tragedy and may God continue to bless America... |
| There are no words to describe the horror every American witnessed on Tuesday, September 11,2001... It has been stated that one out of every 5000 Americans who lived in the continental US on Monday are now not with us...from innocent citizens who boarded a plane or went to work at the WTC that morning...to emergency medical and rescue teams who were lost after the first crash....to those who are still to be found perished amid the wreckage in the days ahead... May we all pray for and may God bless the souls of those lost , the rescue and medical teams who still search through the rubble, and the families and friends who have experienced an unnecessary loss...and yes, even those of us who have been given a wake up call about our nation's vulnerablity....America and its people will never be the same...may justice be found -and may we again believe in all the virtues this country stands for...and continue to defend those principles....Amen.................. |
