One thing that strikes wonder and awe in me personally is certain genres of vocal music like minor key solo songs, Gospel Choir Music, and barbershop quartets. It causes a hard to describe feeling. Sometimes I shout out loud, or start jumping, or even start moving ferociously to the music. This feeling makes me wonder how such amazing sounds can be made, confirming what Einstein said when he wrote that the most awesome things deal with mystery.

When some soloists perform to the best of their ability it can cause an emotion that almost feels similar to being nervous, yet it is totally different. One example of a minor key solo is when Beyonce sings "Woman Like Me" in the Pink Panther Movie. She sings exploring all of her range in a lovely melody and a few runs.

Another genre that specifically can cause me to jump or make excited noises is Gospel Choir Music. I love the sound of a large Choir that express their feelings through their music. When famous Gospel Choir director Hezekiah Walker, leads his choir to sing "Make it to That City," I not only love to hear the words, but the choirs music makes me feel them as well.

Last the great harmonious notes of a barbershop quartet get me excited. I love to hear the simple yet intricate harmonies that are suggestive of old time music. All of these genres of music make me feel the emotion of Wonder and Awe.
