Comments: I'd like to just pass the message for any of you who haven't heard about what's going on this year at the beginning of the year. We return to cadets on the 12th of September. That night, recruits are to also report to the squadron to begin the recruiting process. I look forward to seeing you all there and bring in a lot of your friends. I'm sure there will be some type of benefit for you if you bring in a recruit or two. See you all then... |

Hello Everyone, First of all congratulations to our cadets attending summer camps. You are all doing so well, but I'm not surprised. 803 cadets are fabulous throughout the year, so, of course you're fabulous during the summer too. I can't wait to haer all your stories when we start up again in a few weeks. If you weren't selected for camp, I hope that your summer has been full of fun and lots of rest because this coming training year is going to be great! For those of you impatiently waiting for updates to the site, some of your waiting is almost over. I've up-dated a few pages (see the top part of the sitemap page to see which ones) and I'm just rearranging some files to make room for the new photos. I'll have them up as soon as I can. Keep writing in from your camps and from home. we really like reading your comments. --Ms. Sidhups: the code for this colour is 22AA66. |

Comments: Hi Everybody, I just got back from exchange to the UK. My flight arrived at midnight. All I can say is that exchange is an ultimately rewarding experience. The things you can learn from the different cultures is unbelievable. I highly reccommend exchange to everyon . The most inportant thing that I learned, and it wasn't somebody who told me this, but rather a realisation of something. In the 2 weeks that I was in England, I became really good friends with people from all aroung the world. What I noticed is that t e whole cadet experience, year after year and camp after camp, you develop to be a better human being. I made friends with these people in 2 weeks whereas back on basic, in 2 weeks I made 1 friend and that's it. Cadets gives you the confidence and the bility to be social. Having a lot of friends from all around the world or even just the country is an asset to all. It's really hard to describe exactly, but trust me, the Air Cadet Organisation is the best thing that can happen to anyone because of how uch you can learn. I'll talk to more of you about it at a later date, so until then, enjoy your summer and see you soon. |

Comments: The last of the cadets from 803 Squardon went off to camp today at 08:00 this morning. They looked very good in full dress for the bus ride to camp. The following cadets left today: This rounds off all the cadets who went on national camps. We are very pleased that our squadron will have an experienced staff of cadets for the upcomming cadet year. The cadets who left for camp today were instructed to go to this guestbook site ever-so-often if possible to keep us posted on how their summer camp is going. If they do write in the guest book, it is hoped that everyone would return a comment of encourag ment. Indeed all cadets are encouraged to sign the guestbook to let us know how things are going. Keep well everybody and ...HAVE A GREAT SUMMER.Regards. |

Comments: It was good to see that so many of our cadets did well at their 2 week camps. In addition to those named in WO1 Csizmar's message, congrats also go out to LAC Paquin for his award from Basic Camp. We will publish all the names and awards once all the camp are over. As for LAC Duttle's question, September's attendance will serve to determine the numbers of promotions to be granted in the fall. Past experience (yeah, I know, I got lots...) shows that there are always some positions for Cpl. available. So my advice is to study up for the tests. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. Until next time...Keep 'em flying. |

Comments: Well I'm back from camp along with all the other cadets who went to basic and aircrew. It's been a good time at baggotville and I'm sure everyone else has loads of fun too. To Csizmar: It wasn't me that wrote the part of the message that said Bart taught us the french drill, if you look at the end of that paragraph or sentence it says "Paquin" at the end and he is the one who wrote that. But you have to admit that Bart's "ga ch, gauch, gauch droite gauch" is really funny. When I heard the flight commanders of the french flights say the "gauch droite gauch" at basic I always thought back to that french drill class back at 803. Back to everyone: Anyways at the moment my boots, along with everyone else's boots who went to basic, are in a very bad state but with the month and a half or two months that we have to get them back to standards I'm sure everyone's boots will be very good. By the way, lately I've been thinking about positions for CPL next year and I'm thinking that there might not be that many because the high number of CPLs that 803 already has. Can anyone tell if this is going to be the case next year? |
Csizmar - 07/16/00 05:34:49 |
Comments: Good Morning to all. From what I understand, our squadron held the top two spots on the aircrew survival course and all of our cadets performed well at their basic training course. I would like to congratulate you all on your achievements and I am very roud of what you have all accomplished, especially the the cadets on Aircrew Survival, Cpl. Walter and Cdt. Azar. There's nothing better for a leader than an excellent performance from their cadets. It shows that the cadets have learned and have even ex elled to higher levels than the norm. Well done. So I'm off to England tomorrow. I'm actually still in town until Monday because we have some briefing on Sunday evening, but I leave from Dorval Airport sometime after 1330 hours on Monday. Expect a postcard from me that will be addressed to the squadron. For those of you haven't gone to camp yet, have a lot of fun and push yourselves. The rewards are in-explainable. For those of you who have completed your courses, congratulations. I be eaving now an definately keeping in touch while in England (through the internet of course), so keep on checking the site once in a while because I will be posting messages up here. so good night to all and make sure you see the X-Men movie. Comments: Congratulations to you all on an excellent performance at the Olympiad. We kept our trophy, as usual, and we did well in the soccer tournament. All of our games were close and the difference between the first and third place team was basically 1 goal. hat's the way the cookie crumbles (the cookie Matteo doesn't like). A special mention goes out to F/Sgt. Matteo who worked all year with the cadets on thursday nights. Thanks a lot. A trophy at the Olympiad shows that a good job was done by first of all the cadets and secondl their leader who kept them motivated all the time. Now, as you should all know, something big is coming: Saturday, 08:30 hours at Riverdale, we return at 20:00 hours. This is the funnest part of the year so I reccommend that you all come to this if you have the chance. You won't regret it. It's a good way to finish up an excellent year of training and a superior performance at our Annual parade. It's a well deserved break for all of us. I hope to see you there. Good luck with the rest of your exams and see you all on Saturday. |

Comments: Hello all, I just would like to thank everyone who participated in the National Cadets Caring for Canada Day. We spent Saturday June 10th, 2000 cleaning the Riverdale High School Grounds. It was a difficult task, as there was a lot of garbage, but, at th end of the day, our efforts were very noticeable. By participating in this activity, we not only helped our environment, but, many cadets vowed never to litter again. That definitely is a good thing. Thank-you's go out to these cadets who participated:
Remember to bring your "Cadets Caring for Canada" water bottles to show off at the Olympiad this coming Saturday. A very special thank-you goes to Lt Stirzaker, C/I Stirzaker and Mrs. Lee for their hard work. Sincerely, |

Comments: I'm just testing this stuff to see how these here colours work. While I'm here, I would just like to remind you all that the year isn't over. People who do show up display dedication to the squadron and a great effort to be active. I like seeing that in he cadets that do show up. Your presence and effort are well noted. For those of you who are missing cadets regularly now, I would like to give some advice. You only have so much time in cadets and the last month is always the most fun. You should try o manage your time so as to be able to come to cadets and do your studying. It only gets harder and you might as well learn at a younger age to balance the two activities. It will help to prepare you for the future. The reason that might be more understandable by most of you is that cadets is a relief from all that studying (at least for me it is). I was just throwing some ideas out that you could think about. Have a good evening and enjoy the rest of the year. Olympiad and Beach Party are going to be amazing. Good luck to all on summer camps and everybody else who's not going on course, have a restful summer. They don't come often. |

This was an incredible year, full of changes for the better. Comments: What can I say. That was an excellent show you guys put on. We really impressed the reviewing party, the parents and also the guests. This only came through the hard work and dedication of 65 quality cadets who have put a lot of time into the squadron. I'm sure we got a good review and as soon as I know I'll tell everyone. Congratulations and thanks to all the officers, NCOs and cadets who have made this year the best year while I was in command. It has made all of our jobs easier by having high quali y cadets in the squadron. Good luck next year. |

All of their comments have been glowing and very complimentary. To Warrant Officer Csizmar, his senior NCO staff and all the cadets: the hard work that you have put into yesterday really showed, and you should all be extremely proud of your efforts and achievements. We all are. Enjoy being a cadet with 803, it's the greatest thing in the world. 803 definitely rules!!!!!!!! --pks |

Comments: This year's Grenville was fantastic, especially the Level 3 and 4 survival part on the first night. For the younger cadets, wait a year or two and you'll know what I'm talking about. I hope that next year's will be the same, if not better, than this year' . BTW, I love the RatPacks (especially those instant soup mix on a really cold morning)! |

Comments: Lt. MacNeill reminded me to ensure that you ask him about the "Billy Can" and its uses in survival training. Remember - up to 80% of your body heat can be lost through an uncovered head; so keep your head covered. (I hope Konrad Moewius is paying attention.) Camp Fires - Can keep you warm on a cold day - but you may feel toasty warm on the front; but how's your back? Keep it covered too with a campfire blanket. You'd do well to include this item on your camping equipment list. |

Comments: It was a real pleasure visiting with you during your Exercise Timberwolf 19-21 May. Despite the rather cool night temperatures and blackflies everyone seemed to get through it with flying colours. Good luck with your Annual Ceremonial Review! Hope to see ou again sometime in the not too distant future. |

Comments: Hey NSSS! Surprised I reappeared on the Guestbook??? Well me too! I am surprised I left that long. Anyways, I've got 3 things to say: First, congrats to the volleyball team for their silver medal...you played awesome and I was glad to be your coach! e completely freaked out 690 sqn. by getting that close, especially that famous match point....AHHH! so close!! For more details on that comp at #1 squadron, take a look at the next Sabre Newsletter. Then, I want to say keep working hard to the PT Team Physical Training) who looks to be going on a "roll"...with excellent coaching by WO2 Bartleman and F/Sgt Matteo. I wish I could make these back flips...but I'm getting old...haha! Remember how bad I was on the team last year...imagine now! Finally, I' like to announce that I now am on holiday (finished school) so I'll be able to scan the last...100 (only!!)...awesome pictures of 803 people. It would be super if a cadet or more (any rank) would stand out and be ready to take the best pics and set up a yearbook for the squadron next year...and the following years too... Well, now that this is said, my last words will be don't let go. We still have lots of cool activities coming up like gliding on the 13th and Annual (practice on 27th) on the 28th for ay + lots more for June. Just prepare your sports gear because we will be running and sweating like you never had before. See you all on Tuesday, specially my Volley Team...picture time! Bye bye!!......C/I ARNOLD...... |

Comments: My mistake. I got song 55 wrong the first time. Through long and hard investigation, I finally figured out which Metallica song this really is, with the help of some software and of course a little clue. Well, song #55 is actually "Turn the Page" by Bo Seager. |

Comments: I was just looking through the guestbook from 1999. There's some interesting stuff in there. By the way, you're welcome, whoever you are. I really don't know because if you're from 803 and you're saying Hercules, than I'm lost. Hercules was at SLC and there's nobody in the cquadron whose done SLC. Yeah. I hope you all had fun at Sugaring Off. It was really wet and that's why we didn't go out much. When we did though, everybody who came with me learned how to not be ready for a day out in the forest Remember to always prepare for the worst, as in bring waterproof stuff. Well, I hope to see you all on Tuesday because Annual is coming and we have to start working on our RCAF March Past. See y'all later. |
