It becomes important for one to know about the interesting places in a country where they can visit. Therefore, in this page, I am going to talk about some of my favorite places in Nepal. Of course, my choices aren't the only good places in Nepal. There are many places in Nepal that are more beautiful than the ones that I am going to talk about. I am only going to talk about three places in Nepal in a little detail here - Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan. My other favorite places in Nepal that I have been to are Dolpa, Lumbini, Gorkha and Kavre but due to lack of time and space, I am not going to talk about then here. Pokhara:

Pokhara is my most favorite place in Nepal. I spent four of my earliest school years in Pokhara and I have imotional links attached to it but that is not the reason I chose Pokhara here. Pokhara is probably the most accessible place in Nepal from where one can really feel its natural beauty. In the mornings, you can see golden mountains standing tall and straight from anywhere in Pokhara. If you go to the many beautiful lakes, including the Phewa Lake, the most visited lake in Nepal, you can see the clear images of the reflection of those mountains and the view is spectacular. People who visit Pokhara feel as if they are in heaven, not earth. There are other things about Pokhara other than the mountains and the lakes. Pokhara has excellent climatic conditions, which make it suitable to visit and live all year round. It has other attractions such as waterfalls, caves, rivers, gorges, and Pokhara is also a very nice place to shop.

Kathmandu:

Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal, and it is one of the most beautiful cities in the world for its ancient architectures of Hindu temples. It is however, a little more polluted than Pokhara but the Government is really trying to clean up the city for the innumerable tourists that visit Kathmandu every year. Kathmandu also has the best casinos in the region. You can find lots of good arts and architectures in kathmandu along with the Royal Palace, Singha Durbar where all the government tasks take place, the Hanuman Dhoka, many Buddhist pagodas, etc. You can also experience the best shoppings in the country in Kathmandu.

Chitwan:

My hometown is Bharatpur in the Chitwan district of Nepal. Chitwan is probably the best place in Nepal in the Terai region. The number one attraction (and probably the only one that is so good) in Chitwan is the Royal Chitwan National Park, abbreviated as RCNP. RCNP has huge forests and lots of rare animals, birds and plants in the world. One can ride on elephant backs and take a Safari of some parts of the Park to see the one horned rhinoceros, rare deers, crocodiles, and if lucky the Indian tigers.
