This is a gorgeous beaver dam we came across
This is the lodge the beavers live in (the mound in the pond)
This was a piece of old dock floating in the melting lake, it reminded me of a island city scape
believe it or not, it was very warm this day, but not sure the girls thought wading was a good idea after all! Hurry and click the picture Mom!
This is the view from the top of stoney mountain. The town I live in is way off in the horizon. Much easier to see when the street lights are on.
dog sled races at our lake
The path to the "little house" hopefully this year we will get indoor plumbing!
hayride at the carnival
skidooing on the lake (my dare devil)
my angel
We recently spent the day sailing and this was taken on a beach Guy was actually stranded on in a storm a few years ago. The weather was cooperating much better this time
Me relaxing...soaking up the rays
Guy in one of our canoes
My 2 daughters and their friend enjoying the canoe
My eldest son and his friend racing us in my son's hobbecat. We had a great sailing day that day, the weather was yuckie enough in the morning that all the jetskies and motor boats stayed home and we had the lake to ourselves.
This little guy has become quite tame and eats out of our hands now. He has set up housekeeping in this old birdhouse next to our cabin deck.
He's getting very tame now, surprised me by jumping right onto my lap to see if I had more peanuts!
This is a closeup
This is the view of the Athabasca River Valley this fall, the leaves were gorgeous
When we explored at our lake, we saw this beaver dam on the shore. When we climbed over it, we were suprised by this incredible beaver pond. These creatures never cease to amaze me.
We've been exploring the Clearwater and Athabasca rivers by boat this summer. This is the place where the Athabasca and Clearwater join. You can see the limestone banks along the river here, and they are full of fossils.
An island where we stopped for a picnic on the river. It was so gorgeous
I just thought that this tree that had drifted up on the shore of the island, was incredible to sit and look at.
an Inukshuk Alissa and Guy built to greet people on the river. I know, she took a little creative lisence with the mud face.
these are foot prints from a flock of cranes that let us use thier island for a bit. We also saw geese, a bald egle, and a BEAR! Those pictures are still in my camera though so I'll add them as soon as I can.
