The process to pull a 24 foot 3 inch hard suction is the same as it is to pull the 5 inch suction on the other side. First release the swivel lock and open the gate valve.

Second remove the Velcro strap from the strainer and allow the hose to fall from the trough.

The hose with a little guidance will self deploy.

As it peels off walk away from the rig.

The line plays out.

With the gate valve open the line is charged before you put it down into a drop tank or static source. The foot valve in the strainer hold the prime so you don't need to use a primer to get a prime.

With the 5" line used for drop tank operation or static source drafting the first step as always is to open the gate valve and release the swivel lock.

Off comes the strainer.

And the firefighter walks away.

The hose self deploys.

The line is fully primed at this point.
