The top has been replaced with original rear glass window. Carpet set is original and show normal wear. The car comes with the original fabric boot cover and fits perfectly.

The car has always been yellow in color as you can tell from the front trunk area which was left untouched. There is not a speck of rust to be found. The trunk is a bit dusty for the pictures but has since been detailed and shows very nicely.

The car has 4 new radial tires and a matching rim for a spare. The dash is without flaw, buckles or splits but the glove compartment door has cracking on the covering.. The underside of the car is as clean as the top. The car has been striped and painted less than a year ago. The paint is flawless and has a show quality luster. There is a spot on the hood where the paint has lifted and a scrape on the left front fender. (see photo)

Engine compartment is clean and tidy and with a bit of  minor detailing would be ready for shows.

This car gets more thumbs up than I ever thought. I have had some very exotic cars over the years but this car strikes a cord in almost everyone who sees it. It funny to hear kids talk about it as some type of Porsche. Well at least a cousin........

The only thing I know of that is not working is the rear trunk release. The cable has come loose and need to be reworked.

It is very rare to find a car in this condition, as many have been handed down to kids along they way and either modified or left to rot away. This is not the case here as the previous family that owned the car has lovingly cared for the car over the past 26 years....

If you are looking for a new toy to really use and enjoy, then this is it. The 30 year old VW is destined to continue to appreciate in value as there are few around to compare.
