Art has become a major part of my life. During school it was more of a hobby done for relaxation, I never thought I will be making a living out of it . I don't have any formal art background. I take guidance and the much needed inspiration from the works of other artists.

        I did my degree at Mepco Schlenk Engineering college, Tamil Nadu. During the first year I decided to concentrate more on my studies and stopped painting.Unable to resist temptations, I started my art work again after one year..... During college days I came across some very impressive 'rangoli' works. Inspired by those images,I started learning and practicing it by myself. Even today I really love seeing my rangoli works. It has always given me a lot of courage and confidence.

        In 2001, I graduated as a computer science engineer. This is when I was exposed to 3DStudio max. I joined as a lecturer in an engineering college and started practicing 3D during my free time. After a year, obsessed by 3D, I decided to make it my profession. I did a course in Maya. As a part of the course, I created a 4:50sec 3D short film called "Fracture".

        In 2003, I joined Paprikaas animation studio as a lighting artist. I like this place for its friendly working environment and challenging opportunities. Here, I got the chance to work as a concept artist under Daniele Bigi - lighting supervisor from Italy for almost an year,doing lighting reference sketches for a movie . Working under him was the best thing that could have happened in my life. I was able to learn a lot of new things under him. This also brought me back to painting after a span of 3 years, this time it is digital medium. I was rusty during the first few weeks ....but slowly got adapted to digital medium. This field gives me a lot of satisfaction. I feel good when my work gets appreciated by the director/producers. Now my interest is slowly turning towards concept art and matte painting. Finding time to practice is the problem :)
