Lord of the Rings: Extended Version - DVD Review

When I saw the fellowship for the first time back in December 2001 I was suprised about how good it was, I had never read the books so I just went to the cinema as I would, not expecting that much, but I was blown away by everything about the movie; the visuals, the characters, everthing and now that I own the extended cut it just enhances that experience even more. Though the Extended Version doen't really add much to the development of the story, it does offer extended versions of scenes and completely new ones, such as when the fellowship are given weapons by Galadriel, who is then asked by Gimli [John Rhys-Davies] for one of her hairs as a keepsake.
