Although the Forest Service staffs this tower, it also calls many fires in on State and BLM protected lands. Stephenson reported the 110,000 Ashwood range fire in 1996 and the 8,000 acre Tamarack forest fire of 2000. NOTE:Stephenson is located on private land many miles behind a locked gate. No access to public.
