Those that inhabit the night are a mysterious and beautiful lot. Often existing on the fringes of society, they are very often misunderstood and feared by the population as a whole. Dark Elves, Goths, Vampyres,,,, are but a few of the fascinating inhabitants. Many of the youth of today have misunderstood the whole "gothic" movement as simply a fashion statement, or a way to get attention from their parents. In reality, it runs much deeper than that.
Our home, and especially our garden, are often visited by the Sidhe, Faeries, Gnomes, and others from this shadow world. They are fascinating beings, shy and secretive if they don't know you. At times they can be maddening pranksters, while at others they can be fierce defenders. In addition, some of the most caring, decent, intelligent people that I have "met" on the internet have been Goths and Elves. I am not a permanent resident in these lands, so I can only relate the information that I have gathered from books, and from my personal experience. There is a dizzying array of species and variety among the citizens of the Dark.
They live their lives in a state of wonder, and awe, at the beauty of the world. Some are the descendents of Magickal beings from long ago. Others are human, but walk freely between the worlds of man and other.
