Swampland - Flora

In the area of the Swampland vegetations of three different areas exist: amazon, closed and chaco (Paraguayan and Argentinean). During the drought, that it coincides with the winter, the fields become yellowish and the temperature can arrive for 0°C, influenced by the winds that arrive of the south of the continent. The vegetation of the Swampland is not homogeneous and there is a pattern different from flora in agreement with the altitude. In the lowest parts, the gramíneas, that you/they are areas of natural pastagens for the cattle prevail. The vegetation of closed, with trees of load medium entremeadas of bushes and low plants, appears in the intermediary heights. The few meters above the areas flooded, they are the brushwood capons, with larger trees as the angico, ipê and aroeira. In the larger altitudes, the arid and dry climate turns the landscape similar to the one of the caatinga, presenting typical species as the mandacaru, aquatic plants, piúvas (of the family of the ipês with rosy and yellow flowers), palm trees, orchids, figs and aroeiras.
