Our Study Group Participants
Sherry
Marilyn
I am a mother of four and grandmother of two.  My previous experience as a school teacher and volunteer at my children's schools gave me the motivation to become a school social worker.
I am a mother of three children, one of whom is a special needs child. My background is in inpatient psychiatric care, and I look forward to the new challenge of a school setting.
Dana
Emily
My name is Dana. I am married without children. Education has always been a priority in my life, resulting in a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology. I am presently working towards my Master of Social Work degree with emphasis on school social work.
My name is Emily and I am engaged to be married in November. I have no children. I have a bachelor's in Social Work, but became interested in school social work after speaking with a school social worker.
Camille
Donna
Camille is a student in the MSW program and also works for a local financial institution.
I am a single mother of two children, ages 6 and 2.  Being with my children is important to me, and I am hoping to have
a job at which I work during the hours that my children are in school.  The realization that many therapy jobs require evening work is one of the reasons I chose the school environment for social work, instead of more traditional therapy work. I'm striving for a schedule that will be compatible with my children's.
