| Note: This does not apply to all Ravers, Raving is about being yourself, and thus having your own style and vocab. So dont be a follower! |
| *Rollin' = being under the influence of E *Groovy = Super Kewl *Kickin' = Awesome (better than Groovy) *Tight = supremly Kewl (better than kickin') *Spinnin' = What DJ's do, also when someone uses glo stix attached to shoe laces, aka POI *Ghetto = Low and Stupid *Trippin = having hallucinations *Candy = Jewlery, and food group *Kandi = E (though its pronounced the same as candy) *Kandi Kidz = super cute ravers who give you Candy, Hugz, kizzez, stickers, and good vibes (usually VERY freindly! ME B A KANDI KID!) *Skank = Slutty Girl (though ive never heard of a name 4 a slutty guy... which isnt fair cuz they ARE out there...) *Hoochie = Gangsta Girl *G-Funk = Rapper *Burnt = Feeling of exhaustion *Chillin' = Takin a break or just hangin out *Crash = to sleep, or that crappy feeling you get when you come down off some drug (this is usually reffered to as The Crash) *Golden Moment = that time when your on somthing and everything is alright, nothing can go wrong, and all the planz u make will go through and make a wonderful life *Flyer = The main promo tool, lists info on a party and is full of kewl graphix (though some may simply list a phone # or destination so that the promoter can decide whose gonna be at their rave)\ *Going off = when it feels impossible to stop dancing or stop what you are doing *In the Zone = when you have gotten so into somthing that it is effortless *Hella = A large amount of something *Mac Daddy = a guy who goes to raves to try and hit on innocent lil' raver gurls *Promoter = the person who throws the party or rave *Props = thank you *Rave = An event that usually runs between 10pm and 7 am, and includes dancing, running around, meeting new ppl, and socializing with friends *Teaser = Pre-flyer usually listing only a name date and phone # *Twinkie = a person (usually a girl, but guys can be twinks too!) who goes to a rave only because its the cool thing to do, usually recognized by skimpy skirts and shoes that look impossible to dance in (for girls, as for guys, most things a guy wears to NE club can be danced in.... so theres no tell tale signs) *Visuals = The lighting display, usually consisting of strobe lights, lasers, and projections *Water = a Ravers Lifeblood *Drum N' Bass = Music consisting of high fast paced drum beats, and deep hard hitting bass tones *Happy Hardcore = Music consisting of hard bass beats and happy uplifting sounds, very melodic, often with pianos and/or female vocals *Jungle = Music consisting of Drum N' Bass (the name comes from the fact that alot of jungle tribes would use very deep drum beats at their ceremonys, just watch the second movie in the matrix series, the part with the undeground party?? thats Jungle!) *Trance = A 4/4 beat often with repetative sounds and long sections of melody resulting in very complex music patterns *Binky = A pacifier |

Well here are some suggestions on things to bring to a rave, it covers everything you need (things with a * before them) and stuff for entertainment! Again dont be a follower, if you currently do not see any need for some of these items dont buy them, bring things that you know you like, and always remember these are guidlines not rules! |
