| Eiko is a six-year-old genius, the last remaining member, or so everyone thinks, of the legendary summoner tribe of Madain Sari. After her grandfather dies, she lives on her own, with her band of moogles as company. One moogle, Mog, who is exactly the same age as Eiko, is her best friend. Mog goes everywhere with her, and despite a few disagreements, loves her unconditionally. Precocious but innocent, Eiko develops an instant crush on Zidane when he saves her life on the Conde Petie path. She invites him and his friends to Madain Sari for dinner.
Later, she offers to show them to the Iifa tree. After destroying the Mist, Eiko decides that despite her promise to her grandfather to stay in the village until she is sixteen, she doesn't want to be alone anymore. She leaves with Zidane and his party on their mission to save the world. After everything is peaceful, Eiko stays in Lindblum, where she is adopted by Regent Cid and his wife, Hildegarde. | |
