| Blank, like Zidane, is a member of Tantalus. When Tantalus' ship crashed in Evil Forest, the forest attacked Tantalus and the others. Blank let the others go first, resulting of the pretrification of him and Evil Forest. |

Marcus
| Marcus is a member of Tantalus. Aside from Zidane, he is the strongest one. After leaving Evil Forest, you find him again in Alexandria. You don't stay with him long, though, because he runs off to save Blank. |

Cinna
| Cinna is the weakest member of Tantalus. He likes to goof off and collect unusual potions. He's very overprotective of his hammer. |

Baku
| Baku is the leader of the thieves in Tantalus. He devised the plan to kidnap Garnet. You never get to fight as Baku, nor does he have a large part in the story. |

Brahne
| Brahne is the fat ugly queen of Alexandria. How she had a daughter like Garnet is a mystery. Brahne, along with being ugly, is evil and sent her soldiers to destroy the other nations on the Mist Continent. |

Zorn and Thorn
| Zorn and Thorn are the evil jesters at Alexandria Castle. They're hilarious, and often repeat what the other says, except mixed around. |

Ruby
| Ruby is Zidane's friend, an actress with the Tantalus troupe. When Tantalus leaves Alexandria, she is left behind and starts a mini-theater. |

Regent Cid
| Regent Cid is Garnet's uncle, the regent of Lindblum. His wife Hilda turned him into an oglop, a kind of insect, because he cheated on her. |
