As I was walking through the cattle chute this morning, I thought, It's Monday and I have a history test today so I'm going to fail this history test.(Non-Sequitur, logic does not follow). AS I was taking this History Test, I thought "Jefferson was elected in 1796 and Adams was the President before him so Adams was elected in 1792."(False or Vague Premises, Jefferson was elected in 1800.) After English class, I was walknig through the hallway with one of my classmates who uttered, "God, the Blues suck!" Being the Blues fan I am, I responded with "what do you know, you never watch their games!.(Ad Hominem, attacking the person instead of the arguement.) During my free 6th period, one of my classmates said that the Blues defense sucked. I responded with something along the lines of "well their offense is really good." thus avoiding the topic of the mediocrity of the Blues' defense.(red herring). When I got home, my mom asked me why I failed an English quiz and I told her "because I did.", thus stating what she just said.(Begging the question) |
