White Water Rafting Adventure.
After driving for 2 hours, we were so
glad to be
there. It was an OK drive. The scenes were great. As you can
see, we are having lunch. They told us that the rafting trip
will be 11 miles long and will probably take 5 hours, so we stuffed
ourselves with food we prepared the night before.Chito, Lister,
Rhaida, Christian, Alfred, Zenaida, Carlo (That's me) and Joe
were the paticipants of this trip. I think we look like "Navy
Seals". Don't you think?After
lunch and preparing ourselves for the actual trip, we were transported
to a different site. A school bus took us to the main site. It
was a 2 hours ride. When we got there, We were briefed regarding
the actual rafting adventure. The briefing was about the safety
and trips in case something happens. Then we were asked
to pick our life vest and oars for us to use. So the adventure
began. We were excited. The weather was cooperating at that time.
Continued to paddle and behold, a little island appeared. We
dicided to stop by and take some pictures. We defied the instruction
given to us. We were advised not to stop to any islands or whatsoever.
Because of our rebel nature, we
went for it. We posed for a picture/s
and goofed around. The scenery was so amazing. The water was cold and dirty but we
didnt care. We went and took a dip. The
water current was OK. It was not very strong but enough to take
you to the other side of the world. People were looking at us
like we were crazy but we were just having fun....After about
30 min., we went on with the trip........We paddled and paddled
then all of a sudden, white waters! It was rough but not as much
as I expected. I wanted the really rough waves. The one that
you really have to hang on for your life. Anyway, we just made
the best out of what was available. Once again we were goofing
around. We had pails on each raft
and we were splashing water to each other. (Remind you the water
was cold.) After doing all those fun things we went on with the
trip. 7 miles more to go....... Again, we paddled and paddled....
we were getting tired and hot. We tried to stopping under the
bridge to buy food but with no avail. So we continued with the
trip. We were decided to connect the two raft with a rope. We
chatted and conplained about the lenght of the river. At this
time only 2 were paddled. Finally, we could see the end of the
trail from where we were. Everybody
was relieved. Got off and surrendered the rented stuff. It was
a great adventure. I wont mind doing it again. You should try
it with your friends.................
