In general, QORQ (pronounced "cork") is the official name given to the sound work that I do. In December of 1990, I set out to create a local record label that would specialize in odd or eclectic types of music (or things that I wanted to hear for my own enjoyment).
After three hectic and amazing years, things kind of quieted down due to extreme exhaustion, so the production shifted more to sound design. These days, I work on commission as a record Producer/ Engineer, which has made for a much happier and less chaotic situation.
These days, QORQ releases tend to be in conjunction with other record companies or artist-produced projects. A lot of what I'm interested in recording falls into composer/vocalist and eclectic (that word again) or funny types of music and other auditory art.
I have a dream of Producing The FiresignTheatre with The Monkees providing musical interlude, and George Martin as Executive Producer! Recorded Analog with no noise reduction on an old valve mixing board, Brian Wilson as my board operator with the album cover by Hipgnosis. Oh yeh,VINYL ONLY!
QORQ PRODUCTIONS CATALOG
This is a comprehensive, up-to-date list of everything released and or once carried by QORQ PRODUCTIONS since 1991. Everything in the QORQ catalog was either produced or co-produced by Joseph L. Auger.

After a two year hiatus, we finally have the newest by Paula on this her sixth album on QORQ. Recorded in a marathon five days in the August heat, and finshed via E-mail and phone calls. This stuff just draws you in like a good intimate solo performer should.Live At AS220...............................His Panic Band
(033PS)(1997)
60 Minutes
Another in a quick succession of Live recordings with no major Post Production tweaking and junk. This band has a really nice and organic bent about them with quirky arrangements and a healthy nod to folk, trad and avant garde,(I will not say eclectic, I will not say eclectic, I will not...) so anyways... These guys are going to hopefully have a CD out by X-mas of 1998 so watch for it.May You Dine On The Weeds Made Bitter By The Piss Of Drunkards...............................The Eyesores

The Eyesores are what the remains of The Amoebic Ensemble turned into and with Alec K.
