Days 48 & 49 - Torbay hut to Albany
After leaving Torbay I sighted 2 snakes and 3 bobtail lizards. Torbay inlet was closed and the weather conditions calm and sunny so the walk was fairly easy. As usual when meeting non walkers the standard questions get asked. How far have you walked? How long have you walked? How heavy is your pack?
After leaving the beach a rifle range is crossed. The red flag was up at the time meaning shooting is in progress. Every time a shot was fired it gave me a real fright. The campsite at Hidden Valley is close to the western most wind turbine of Albany Wind Farm.
Saying my goodbyes to the Grannies in the morning I reached Albany by 11am. The best wildflowers of the walk seemed to be in the last day of walking.
