INTESTINAL DISGORGE
1. How would you explain to a newcomer what ID is and how the band came to be? What is ID's purpose? And what can the real fans expect on the 2nd full length on Lofty Storm?
Corpsebutcher: I.D. is what you could call a noise grind band, meaning we started playing grind and realized that we couldn't necessarily make it sound decent, so we adapted the label of "noise" so that our unintentional lack of appeal turned into a facade of intentional lack of appeal. No, seriously, we just created the band because we all love grind and we enjoy plating it, and as we evolved over the years we found a niche of our own that we really enjoyed playing, and it turned out to be very noisy and psychotic grind. Our purpose, I suppose, is just to simply play music that we would all like to hear, and we just hope that others out there enjoy it and thus we can give them a good time playing a show that they would come to. As far as the upcoming album, our fans can expect a new level of intensity and unbearable noise. We wanted to make an album more angry and more hateful than the first. I think we did just that. It's fast, it's noisy, it's very biased towards killing people, and it still has the same old disgusting charm...I suppose.

2. For losers like myself that missed the demo, will it be released again on any format? Will it be released as bonus tracks on the second? What were your feelings on that recording?
Corpsebutcher: I'm glad you asked that, actually, because we have been tossing around the idea of re-recording all the demo tracks and releasing that as an MCD of some sort. The sound quality was so utterly terrible on that demo that we would like to simply re-record all the songs. We are really putting some thought into making that happen, so hopefully we can confirm that in the coming months. I really liked that demo, I thought it was great for our first recording.

3. Why doo doo for the theme? Why can't it be clean and wholesome? If I told you that it's presentation made me, someone who thought he could stomach anything sick, would you feel you've accomplished something? (Note: When I read over this question it sounds almost like I'm complaining, so just in case that's what you thought, I'm not! It's a sarcastic way of expressing my commendations for shocking me! -Lee)
Corpsebutcher: We never set out to see how many people we could make say "that's gross" or anything, we just thought it was funny. No one believes us when we tell them, but we only made that album so graphic because we thought it was hilarious. Of course, it is the fact that people get grossed out that makes us laugh, but it's all relatively simple. The other mitigating factor for "doo doo" is that it's just plain sick. So we thought our music is the type of soundtrack that would suit someone like that. But we are not ashamed to say that we do not consume feces ourselves, it's simply a theme.

4. Do you know why feces has it's color and why it reeks so much?
Corpsebutcher: Feces have the brownish color because of bile secreted by the gall bladder into your stomach as you digest food. I think bile helps break down fats and lipids, but I can't confirm that. As for the stench, bacteria in your large intestine, as they synthesize vitamins, secrete intestinal gas, which of course is contained in feces. I learned all of that in a Health Science Technology course last year. I'm talking out of my proverbial ass.

5. Has your involvement in a seriously sick band hurt your social life at all? For better or for worse?
Corpsebutcher: My social life hasn't been affected at all. It's the same for everyone in the band. Our friends just expect that type of thing from us, because they know we are the people that always laugh at the wrong time. I guess being in the band has helped female wise, because many females tend to gravitate towards people in bands. However, this is still not the case with us, and I can't figure out why. (I wonder! -Lee)

6. Your choice picks for nasty gore flicks are?
Corpsebutcher: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is my all time favorite. And of course, the two Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer movies are fantastic. There was another movie that I forgot the name of that I really enjoyed which involved a serial killer getting electrocuted in the electric chair and saying "All that did was give me a hard on." I really enjoyed that one, but the name always escapes me.

7. What are your top 5 favorite releases?
Corpsebutcher: "Odour of Torture" by Gut, "The Genocide Machine" by Circle of Dead Children, "Devouring the Gutted" by Putrilage, "Molesting the Decapitated" by Devourment, and of course "She Lay Gutted" from Disgorge.

8. If you made a movie, what would it be about?
Corpsebutcher: Me having a penis that is constantly aflame. That way when the leading actress unzips my pants, my genitals are automatically aflame and burning gloriously. And as she attempts to fellate me she is incinerated by the fire.

9. What bands out now deserve our attention?
Corpsebutcher: I think every band out there right down playing death/grind deserves attention. It's tough to get noticed sometimes when there are so many names out there, and there are bands all over the world working hard to put their music out, and my support goes to all the unsigned bands out there. Bui, if you really want to know who I am thoroughly impressed with right now, that would be Circle of Dead Children. They are mind blowing.

10. Alrighty then! Final words please!
Corpsebutcher: Thanks for giving me the opportunity to do this interview, and thanks for the support. And for all the fans, "Whore Splattered Walls" will be out late August 2001 so get ready for the most intense, unbearable noisegrind yet!
