DISSECTED 10/2001 1. Hi! How are things going with DISSECTED? Could you describe to the gore hounds out there just what DISSECTED is? Toni: hell(o) lee... well right now we're rehearsing the new material. also new members are join' the band. the material will be released as a cd format. no more tape releases. only for some split releases maybe. DISSECED is someting which i can't describe it easy with few words and each person can give his own conclusion. for me, personality, mean a lot. generaly is a pathological grindeath metal band. 2. No doubt you're CARCASS fans, what kind of inspirations helped to form DISSECTED both from music, entertainment and real life? Toni: yeah, we like CARCASS for sure. they play extreme music in differnt and original way. originality count in music. is the key to success. it's easy to play like the others do, but it's more important to create your own way and style. all this came with the corporation of inspirations and influences both as one. CARCASS is not the only inspiration to DISSECTED. like, from the real life come they lyrics. everybody know all the situation about the sickness around the world. ("Horror and moral terror are your friends." -Lee) 3. Will you  have a website soon? WHat have you released and what is coming out in the future? Toni: we try to create some website in the past, but it looks like a big flyer. so we change our minds and leave the idea for something much professional in the future. now our releases are: rehearsal - Rehearsal Tape (mc ormat) - Rehearsal Tape 2 (mc format) demo - Harmonious Concertos For Cadaveric Requiems (mc/cd format) special release/compilation -Anatomy Of An Autopsy (cd format) split release - Improvising The Macabre Performance (split with DECAY from finland/mc format) promo - Promotional Necro-Materialism (cd format) our next release it will be demo as a cd format called Lancet Bloody Lancet. 4. What drew you to such macabre appreciations? Did you grow up loving gore? What interests outside of extreme music do you have? Toni: Gore concept is shocking, true and real. Like life is. The dark side of human mind. These years this concept is too famous and it has became trendy. This sucks I know. I don't like lyrics which sayz something like "bitch, I will rape, torture and kill you because you are a slut" or "your supurated anal canal, swallow my big fat gory prick". (Hey! Did you steal those from my collection of love poems? -Lee) It's so childish. Even the porn gore stuff somehow is funny, but I couldn't wrote about fucking the decomposed and mutilated cadavers. This lyrics doesn't make me freak out. Pathological or medical lyrics describe the reality of life. As you can see so much pollution and illness in this world. Any one may have a family member which was captured by serious sickness like leukemia or cancer. Those persons have live their own hell. Anyway, in my personal lie I'm a normal man. Drinkin' smokin' fuckin' sleepin' eatin' ect. I try to live my only life best as I can. 5. Other pathological bands that I've adored are PATHOLOGIST, DYSENTERY, THANOTOLOGIST, GENERAL SURGERY... What do you think of these bands, and what bands out now are some of your favorites? Toni: Great bands. People describe those bands as a CARCASS clone. For my opinion it's a mistake. You can't judge a band only from the lyrics or image. (Like that one poser bitch who called NECRONY CARCASS rip offs, when the music was still sick death grind, but almost nothing like CARCASS except for the pathological images! That whore must be faking the black metal image wherever she is now. -Lee) They forget the basic thing. The music. I think CARCASS is CARCASS and PATHOLOGIST is PATHOLOGIST. If what the people sayz stands, then we have too many bands describing as a SLAYER clone, CANNIBAL CORPSE clone, AUTOPSY clone, NAPALM DEATH clone or whatever else. My favorits bands are many like CARCASS, PARADISE LOST, IN THE WOODS, NAPALM DEATH, DOOM, SLAYER, MEGADETH, S.O.D., BLACK SABBATH, ELECTRO HIPPIES etc. I also hear other styles of music, specially when I'm drunk or in the bad mud. 6. Are you at all into the straight forward gore grind bands? For example REGURGITATE? Are there to be any T shirts for DISSECTED? Toni: I know this style prefered from most people in the underground. I like it somehow, but I'm doing something different with DISSECTED. As I say it before, for me count originality. I'm not saying DISSECTED is the most original band, but at least we are trying. Maybe the lyrics remind CARCASS, but musicay we have mix diferent styles of music which we are influenced. Official t-shirts will be released after the new demo comes out. We have some liimited promotional white t-shirts with the art work of Rehearsal Tape and Improvising The Macabre Performance. 7. Describe the perfect woman. Toni: Blonde but not necessary. Almost perfect body and I say almost. Medium tits. Tight ass. Blue or green eyes. Smart. Be honest. Sense of humor. Serious when it must be. Loving me like a god, even after she obtain childrens. Not talking too much. Now when I see a woman from the front passing by, I always see her look from the eyes after I have scanning fast all her body. From the back I always look her ass. Well if some one has seen this woman, let me know. 8. What are your favorite movies? Toni: Diffficult question because I like lot of movies from different kinds. Ok here are some like FIGHT CLUB, PERFECT DAY, SNATCH, TWO SMOKING BARRELS, PULP FICTION, JACKY BROWN, SEVEN, NATURAL BORN KILLERS, RE-ANIMATION, JAWS (all the movies), FRIDAY THE 13TH (all the movies), PHANTASM 2, HUMAN TRAFFIC, TRAINSPOTTING, PET CEMETERY, THE CROW, CRIMSON RIVERS, 8MM, BRAVEHEART, BRIAN THE PROPHET, etc. (You have similar taste in film as my brother's! -Lee) 9. What would you do if you were offered an international tour with KORN, LIMP BIZKIT, METALLICA and MARYLIN MANSON? Toni: It will be no problem for me. The problem will be for them. I like to shock and freak out people. Imagine DISSECTED play this show. Security will kick our ass for sure. METALLICA still rule for me dude. I know it's easy to say bullshit about their last records, but don't forget, METALLICA has make the music which we prefer famous together with the others like ANTHRAX, CELTIC FROST, MEGADETH, EXODUS, SLAYER, IRON MAIDEN ect.
