BATHTUB SHITTER "Live 1999 in Bath" HMW For those that don't know, B.T.S. is a filthy grind band out of Japan, real fast and good grind in the vain of TERRORIZER some say. This tape, released by HMW is very weird! It's sound quality is very, well, bad, as it's even described on the HMW distro page! It's nothing you're going to flip over but something you may want to own for the sheer cult appreciation! For those of you that are into that sort of thing. Like myself! I don't know what exactly was going on in this show, whether it was the way they played or the way it was recorded, but it sounds like just a long improvised noise show! It's sloppy and not exactly together, like they were drunk maybe! The cover is real cool, a kind of zombie/corpse with an Asian girl in bondage, very nice! Depraved, obscure and weird. This is not the definitive B.T.S. recording but still cool to own! It's up to you what you want! CARNIVAL OF CARNAGE "s/t" Mangled Maggot Stew Rogier of the MMS label is not going to let up on the brutality of his own well-done gore grind! Think of MORTICIAN, CATASEXUAL URGE MOTIVATION or maybe a little SLOUGH, dirty sound yet well made gore grind anthems with good riffing and tight, good drum programs! Rogier also does bands like TUMOR and TRAUMA-TEAM!, and really they all sound pretty much the same! TRAUMA-TEAM! has 2 members but both TUMOR and C.O.C. are both just Rogier! Rogier does all music! I guess he plays bass and perhaps guitar too? I'm going to be honest it's been a month since I listened to this great demo and I don't completely remember if both were used! I remember very vividly though the good structure and brutal, gory sound that Rogier pulled off, not surprisingly as all of his projects never fail to make me sick and I love every minute of it! 9 tracks on this one, did I mention that Rogier's vocals are very, very nasty and barfing! Traditional, new style brutality, and yes many sick intros taken from violent and gory film! Packaging is wonderful, full color reality death and this time is the first band shot I've seen on a MMS release that shows Rogiers face! TRAUMA-TEAM! did as well but he was masked! A great gory tape that's not to be passed up. MMS is really a great label, DIY but looking better and more professional every day! Everyone should write MMS for a catalogue! I would personally like to apologize to Rogier for losing touch for over a year and owing him $40! Right after I'd been writing with him was when I was arrested and my activites were drowned out by contempt for my own existence and he got a raw deal to have been so kind to me during that time. MMS has out some very nice CD-Rs, even of a band Rogier did with an actual drummer called PROGERIA! If you crave cyber blasting, heavy crunchy gore grind with a totally putrid style then you need to get hooked up with MMS! Like I need to write MMS again, there's an ANAL BIRTH/TUMOR split CD-R out! Me want! Unfortunately MMS is not on the web but send a couple bucks or a couple IRCs and ask for a catalogue! I'll have the address posted soon, this demo has it not! URINE "Drink Your Own" Fuck The Scene Productions Ern of VOMIT SPAWN and CADAVER REMOVAL TECHNICIAN and his pal Doug teamed up for a seriously cool and funny noise project! Really this isn't far off from being just a very chaotic and dirty grind act, somewhat like what you might get from the Japanese scene. And the themes all deal with, yeah, piss! Which is kind of cool because pee doesn't disgust me like poo does, although I'm yet to receive a golden shower! Ladies? Hahaha, joking. 4 songs, all very cool, I really like this demo! Funny titles like "Golden Mouthwash" and "Mexican Icecube"! No lyrics I'd guess! The outro is some chick Ern knows, drunk on the answering machine talking about what a "fucking dork" some guy is! I'm looking forward to a good listen when the 2nd demo comes along! Oh, noise veteran Doug does drums, guitar and vocals while Ern rocks out the bass and does vocals also! Email: panzram@earthlink.net Website: http://go.to/ftsp BIZARRE EMBALMING "State of Postmortal Metamorphose" Rotten Tooths Productions Out of Chech Republic is another good pathological grind death act, in the tradition of killers like CARCASS, HAEMORRHAGE or GENERAL SURGERY. 12 tracks including a cover of HAEMORRHAGE! Strange and macabre reality death collages abound the cool layout of the demo insert. This is a 5 member band and it has a tight, good sound, but to some may be too death for those more into the blasting guttural vain, the sound is a little more advanced than your typical gore grind band. For someone like myself who can dig goodies that don't abuse the death element, like the aforementioned bands, you may just want to pick this up! HMW has it on his distro. They are in close collaboration with me and Pus Vomit, naturally, great bands and real cool guys. It helps all the more that I get to review this tape which is available from Proctophobia, as it's such a great release! ANAL BIRTH for those that don't know is another super cool homeboy out of New York, Adam Rotella who unleashes the sickness and brutality into a sound format of a gore grind texture with such intense and unmusicality that it becomes a harsh buzz saw of cadaver-ripping downtuned guitar sludge with blasting drum programs that may give you the impression of a hammer pulverizing his dead girlfriends into mush so that they are more easy to consume. Pitch-shifted vox that roar ferociously, to the point that the music is just plain barbaric, gore noise, blasting any humanity left in your senses clean from the animal that craves the cruel sounds that this is! 5 tracks that will scare you! DYSMENORRHEIC HEMORRHAGE is just Kyle, also one of the most brutal and sick gore grind bands ever! I don't say that because it's Kyle, I say it because it's true! D.H. has wicked drum layouts that get very catchy whilst remaining very fast and grinding, and Kyle's riffs are something to relish! Totally gory sound and played in a very memorable, yet brutal fashion. I'm telling you that despite D.H.'s low status this band rivals some of the sickest and most pure of gore grind! I knew D.H. would catch on to the right people as soon as they caught on, and well, Marc of the gore legends LAST DAYS OF HUMANITY is putting into plans the upcomign split MCD with D.H. and another gore grind band on his new lable which recently released the LDOH/STOMA split MCD! To speak for this particular recording of D.H. I should mention that it was recorded on a GORE BEYOND NECROPSY buzz of Kyles. The songs are shorter and noisier, his other releases are more structured. For example the upcoming DYSMENORRHEIC HEMORRHAGE/GROSS split CD-R should showcase the most intense and excellent D.H. yet! Nevertheless this tape is not to be missed. D.H. has 61 tracks! KEVIN EVANACHKO is feedback-ridden filth noise with overthetop whirring computer blasts and noise assault with gurgled and totally weird vocals! This band is no more but Joe is currently with a full line up that is rehearsing actual gore grind with the likes of REGURGITATE! All this sickness with a fun info/title sheet with gory pics of the "Night of the Living Dead" mutilated skull, a deformed dead baby, our good ol' Ed Gein and some cannibal action! What a nasty goody! Gore fun for big kids, watch this label for only the sickest!
