DECAY "Gutting" Maggots Nest First off thanks to Ville for hooking this up! Opening up an envelope to find sick goods like this is always a real treat! An appropriate photo of a heap of guts for the cover with a unique style of a logo, less is more style, simple but very cool! 10 Tracks boasting torturous distorted riff assault, thick and raw, is that a bass with FX? Either way nasty enough to give the impression that this was recorded in a dungeon with walls lined by dead bodies and piles of bowels. Tight and unique drum programming and the vocals are as hideous as I love them to be retching out deep growls resembling more of a mutant than anything classified "vocals"! Yes this is another one man band! Some I think are disappointed that so many bands are consisting of just one or two people. But I can't help but think it's cool, for myself who tried like hell for several years to recruit people to play sick music until I gave up and just did it all by myself, I can totally relate! DECAY's music goes from sick, midpaced death riffs to then to manical gore-grinding blasts all splattered in the chunky vocals. Resembling the style of MORTICIAN blended with an array of disgusting grind influences, leaving DECAY a barbaric and sadistic form of extreme music! Very recommended! LYMPHATIC PHLEGM "Bloodsplattered pathological disfunctions" Putrid Nausea Productions Putrid Nausea is/was a killer German DIY label by the guy who blessed the morgue with ULCERRHOEA, but I haven't heard from that dude in a while and frankly don't know what's up with the label! But anyway, this was such a great release and I think anyone who digs pathological gore grind needs it so bad, it's a necessity! Look for it, contact the band or check out Black Hole Magazine's website, Fernando might sell CD-R versions? It was limited to 500 copies but PNP was extremely anti copyright, and would likely encourage duplication of this item as long as you don't get greedy with your prices! This is an MCD, over 20 minutes with 17 tracks (with a REGURGITATE cover!), and the lisening experience is pure necrophiliac charm. No intros now, LP slithers into your heart with mechanical, tight drum programs, getting technical and maintaining dirty blasts with about as deranged a vibe as synth drums get! Oh the guitar and bass has a veery weird and eerie sound, the distortion is though it was being played in a tunnel, or you could just imagine the depths of the morgue with the feel. With the bass and guitar duo, combinations of the bizarre distortions nearly give it an echo. Riffs are creative and grindy, there is good thought put into the spontaneous gory, grind emissions. But what's that one weird synth sound in the middle of track 7? It'll surprise you, just adds to that horrific feel. The method in the music isn't just sickness but there's a sinister eeriness to the overall vibe. But sick it is! It's in that category of only the most foul of gore grind for those out there who will only accept the most pure and disgusting! Vocals are muddled, harmonized regurgitations, full of loathsome hatred and reciting the anatomy of cadavers and zealously describing any horrible sickness or disease that may infest. That is if you could even tell what the incoherent vomits were saying! But the feel is strong enough. This has been one of my favorite bands ever since the original demos, and have also released splie 7" EPs with GONKULATOR (Fudgeworthy Records) and SUBLIME CADAVERIC DECOMPOSITION! There is an upcoming split 7" with VOMIT SPAWN! The demo was rereleased with FLESH GRINDER for a split CD. Don't forget that the LP MCD is decorated nicely with organs and a cover of an anatomized corpse! Lovers of old CARCASS and the sickest gore grind in general support this band! FLESH GRINDER "Libido Corporis" Demise Records FG is a pathological gore death grind band combining the genres in a fashion which may be described as CARCASS "Symphonies of Sickness" era combined with brutal death like INCANTATION. The result is fast and brutal, sick and very heavy. Think of good doses of harmonized gore vocals, with high, natural retches, very reminiscent of the gods, CARCASS. Intros and samples describing autopsies and other horrific elements adorn the chaotic blasts and moments of midpaced evil death, to even the slow, plodding riffs. Plenty of hate and agression fueling this band, and while those pure to the gore grind sound may find this act to be too death, those who dig the likes of DISGORGE, EXHUMED or PATHOLOGIST for that vile pathological sickness matched with a mean-spirited death sound should definitely check this album out! I still need to get their last two! The packaging has all the right makings of a gore-ridden document. What is that cover? A bucket of blood with an abortion or some body parts floating in it! Nice! This is all another one of Fernando Camacho's works! Bravo! As I'd expect even for me to open it up and gaze at the colorful, graphic depictions taken straight from the morgue and/or crime scenes is sure to give you plenty of viewing pleasure! That vile pic of the dead vagina being opened up by a medical examiner is enough to turn your stomach! And if you aren't repulsed enough by that punishing look at cadaveric orifice, brace yourself for the overused butthole of the dead slut on the slab featured on the inner back of the packaging! This entire opus is a test of your stomach, and should scare all of the necrophobic pussies out of the room. And if your pap wants to piss his pants that you listen to music that doesn't fear exposing the real horrors of reality, then too bad. Life is cruel and harsh, and just because some people aren't afraid to accept that, or try to pretend death and gore doesn't exist, doesn't mean that they're bad people! And FLESH GRINDER is a good reminder of that. Comeback of Goregods - Tribute to REGURGITATE Bizarre Leprous Productions BLP won't quit, releases are pure gore, and nothing but. Anything that's not the sickest kind of music ever, will not pass into the macabre territories of BLP. Today's nastiest and most chaotic, snot-nosed gore freaks get a chance to showcase their sickness in the form of giving praise to one of the best gore grind bands ever, yup, REGURGITATE! Sure, I take into account some criticism this got, some were wondering why a band that's still around and so easy to cover gets a tribute! But I try and look at everything I like from the right corners. Sure, gore grind is an easy style to play. It's true, that doesn't make it any less the most beloved of musical genres. But some wondered where the merrit was in covering a gore grind song, unlike IMPETIGO with their more challenging songs. But really I was happy to hear the real sick bands that I love play these songs, it was a good way to compile such nasties into one festering package, giving it the same value as I credited to the IMPETIGO tribute. There are 50 bands on this and nearly an hour of musick! What a nasty chunk of grind! So many gore grind bands that I can't get into them all. Frankly I say get this and support the bands that strike you the most. Just to name some of my faves would be AUTOPHAGIA, CBT, DYSMENORRHEIC HEMORRHAGE, FILTH... Aw who am I kidding, I love damn near every band on here! Some bands of the more death/grind genre are featured which was another complaint I heard, but it doesn't bother me. The thing is that they're all playing gore grind despite, which may throw some of you off. The packaging is basic, a collage of previous REGURGITATE covers, and the inside lists the songs played and has contact info for each band. There are some misspellings. For a cover I'd have liked to see something all new. Really I could have made this review short and sweet, so all in all you just need to know: great gore grind bands if you want a sample of many in the form of a great tribute.
