COCK AND BALL TORTURE/FILTH/NEGLIGENT COLLATERAL COLLAPSE/DOWNTHROAT Bizarre Leprous Production/Disgorgement of Squash Bodies Nigga what you gonna do? What a delightful collaboration of grind most foul in all it's hideous glory. We all know those sewage blasting giblet regurgitaters CBT right? Well this time they make a tribute to some of their favorite grind bands with a cover song segment! Great cover songs of NASUM, LAST DAYS OF HUMANITY, SUPPOSITORY, GUT and SQUASH BOWELS! Each mimicking the signiture sound of the band at hand. All executed perfectly, great bands' songs being played by another great band! FILTH is up next with 15 tracks of humorous gore grind chock full of groove and samples taken from The Simpsons! I've  loved this band since I got their first demo "Clitoral Visions", being truly rocked by their aggressive but totally catchy and hilarious sound. Think of MACABRE and BLOOD DUSTER with a dash of GUT, boasting perverted growls with some cheesy screaming vocals, blending several metal elements with a funky bass and heavy guitar, spewing anthems of sexual depravity and serial killers! Yes it's that damn good. A very noteworthy band that really hasn't gotten the exposure that it deserves, because it'd be tough for anyone to not totally love this band! Especially for all the faggots that bitch about no groove in grind, here it is, in a way that works wonders! Hopefully their full length will arrive sooner than later. Moving along we have NCC who are undoubtedly a truly filthy and heavy grind band! Should I classify it gore grind? I don't know, for sound it is dirty sounding and blasting blended with some incredibly evil and disgusting vocals. But NCC has never had an imagery in the slightest gory. Read the interview they did for Kyle of DYSMENORRHEIC HEMORRHAGE/Proctophobia Records for some insight to what's up with all the silly Superman art! It becomes a little more interesting. Music being the most important NCC is not to be passed up if you, like me love the nasty grind! For imagery, it can be appreciated as well but I want my dead girls! Ha! DOWNTHROAT is here to wrap up one brutal journey through this macabre fun house of a CD. I received their demo "I've Got My Mother's Eyes" right before a tornado of crap hit my life, a few years back. And here is some tracks from that and also some new! Brutal, sick and faster than hell, gore grind with death elements straight out of Portugal. Songs are ripping fast and spewed with some groovy guitar moments, songs longer than the average gore grind of today. Still with the right amount of death to keep it unique, whether that is a plus or a minus for you, the band is horrid and won't let up, enough to put them on my list of kick ass grind death! These guys ought to have a full length out soon as well! Kiss my grits, this CD about makes me happy enough to spank an aborted fetus. Wonderful in all aspects including offering a sample of 4 very sick bands all in one tight package! Let's hear it for the boys that crank this visciousness out from BLP and DoSB! GORE BEYOND NECROPSY "GO! FILTH GO!!!" Harshit Ooog! Japan's epitome of filthy, noisy grind, GBN are back with another CD to satisfy your craving for only the dirtiest excremental blast attack! You got the MCD "Noise A Go-Go" from Relapse and this one's a little more obscure as it's on GBN's own label, but look at some distros and you should see it! Basically this is in the same style as the last, and that's the way I want it! 58 tracks of sludging mudslide guitar fuzz and spastic drum blasts with one insane and totally guttural growl! Songs don't tend to go over more than 30 seconds, fast meaty slices of the most extreme grind ever! Listen to the end and hear the GBN take on 50s style rock, to give the CD name merrit. This was originally to be released on vinyl but the CD happened instead. Dig the unique art, silly as usual! Very cool to look at though, a gob of nasty guts and crap combined with happy faces and a cool insect on the inside! Their lyrics are as repetitive as the music, that's not a bad thing! Shit, for those of you who can't get over bands that progress to elaborate their style, you better not bitch about grind staying the same cuz grind is grind! You add keyboards or guitar solos and it's straying the traditional format! Which is fine, but I myself am a gore grind addict and if GBN released 20 more CDs just like this I'd still love'em all! Fun and filthy, a must have CD! SMOTHERED BROTHERS "AssphyXiated" Self Released This has got to be one of the dirtiest, sleaziest releases out now! The tight and somewhat "cyber" style drum programs and the downright raunchy guitar style musically makes me think of something between CATASEXUAL URGE MOTIVATION and GUT. Vocals are muffled and putrefied into something truly ugly to add to the virtual dirtiness of this release, and you can't help but really get down with the riffs, their sick and groovy with just the right amount of cheese to mix the music out well! Slap the 5 meaty tracks together with a few perverted porno samples here and there and voila!, -Unadulterated sick grinding perversity that will not only put a smile on your face but might even "make your grandpa shit his adult diaper and giver your dog a boner"! Typically shameless grind perverts and everything we love to watch others hate about them, here to offend and disgust whom ever may be so gay as to not take this great release in as the sick and cool hilarity that it is! Don't start casting this project off as a joke, if my amusement at their sick sense of humor is misleading you let me just say that SMOTHERED BROTHERS have a very cool and catchy, gory and dirty groove and utter evil to their tunes, dripping with slime and covered with infected lacerations, those loyal to the sick and the cyber of all that is disgusting and addicted to vaginas need look no further for an epitome of foul grind! PO Box 471 Lyons, IL 60534-0471 USA DISSECTED "Harmonious Concertos for Cadaveric Requiems" CD-R, "Anatomy of an Autopsy" CD-R, "Promotional Necro-Materialism" CD-R all self-released I had gotten home from my vacation to Virginia and after having pumped much PATHOLOGIST in my car, my enthusiasm for pathological/medical grind touched with death and solos was at its highest point, and there sitting on the hallway table is a fat package from these Greek surgeons, I couldn't have gotten it at a better time! Going back to my first time discovering extreme music and wondering where CARCASS had been all of my life, how I loved bands like DYSENTERY, GENERAL SURGERY and PATHOLOGIST, this was such a treat! Each release was decorated with interesting anatomical diagrams or colorful gore/pathology collages, no lie they are a gore lovers wet dream. Medical text lyrics that bore so many yet I remain so fond of, raspy vocals melodic solos with the right amount of blasts and catchy riffs. Those into the pure gore grind may not want to bother. Although I love it, it's not the sickest kind of grind, no doubt but for you big cadaver-exhuming fans of this area of the genre like myself, you should pay attention. Some tracks are instrumental a la "Genital Grinder" Out of all bands I'd mostly compare it to early DYSENTERY or early CARCASS. Production is weak, of course I'm not complaining, with GROSS, I know how that is! Get the blasts a bit more tight and sicken up those vocals, put some more thickness in those guitars and this act will spew forth to really surprise even those of you who may be more critical! This should give you a good idea. "Harmonious..." is a 6 song MCD of sorts. "Anatomy..." is a collection of all previous material originally released on rehearsal tapes. "Promotional..." has some previous tracks from the above releases, and then the 4 tracks used for their split tape with fellow gore grinder, DECAY!
