LAST DAYS OF HUMANITY "38 Minutes Body Disposal"/STOMA "Gory Human Pancake" Receiving this nasty slab of gore was more exciting than stealing body parts from the cemetery! Everyone should already know LAST DAYS OF HUMANITY by now, being one of the sickest Gore Grind bands out now! Did you catch their cover of IMPETIGO's "Revenge of the Scabby Man" on Wizards of Gore A Tribute to IMPETIGO? When jamming that tune in the car with my brother I didn't yet know it was LDOH, but knew that which ever band it was I needed to find out about because the song was turned so putrid! I remember saying to my brother that the vocals sounded like a pig with its face in the mud! So did you get the two CDs from Bones Brigade? This band doesn't mess around! Pure gore and filth! On this split MCD they present 4 tracks of their own disgusting musical butchery. Each a meaty chunk of disgust oombining the expected blast beat assault, dirty guitar abuse and pitch-shifted necrotic vomit vocals. Guess what? They cover DEAD INFECTION's "The End of Love"! One of my favorite bands covering another one of my favorite bands! The 4 songs are all on one track, and between each we hear the heart moniter of a terminal patient in the hospital. Naturally, by the end of the 4th track we don't hear the sound of relatives and doctors rejoicing that the patient's pulled through, but the monotone bleep of a flat line leaving the poor person dead. What a show! Look at the cover! It's sick but a bit unclear. I think that it's a person putting body parts of his victime into the toilet, or is he regurgitating body parts into the toilet? Either way it's a great cover! STOMA comes next, and what's to be said but filthy chaotic blasting Gore Grind! Sewage barfs and raging high screams cannibalizing your ears to the whirlwind blast beats and nasty guitar attacks! Total primal aggression, no melodic shit here! Making LDOH and STOMA a team meant for each other! STOMA has 4 more tracks of sickness, and a sexy cover of a horribly obese and totally naked female corpse. Is that the same picture that TUMOUR used on their "Glutonous Glob" CD-R? Makes me hungry! I will be awaiting more sickness from the latest gore terrorists STOMA, and am very excited for the new LDOH releases to come out on Bones Brigade! This MCD was released by Marc of LDOH's label who will release the DYSMENORRHEIC HEMORRHAGE split EP! PLASMA "Gorefuck" From Marcus and his one man Gore Grind opus is a self-released CD-R of putrid preportions! This band was known as AFTER BLAST before it became just Marcus and the name changed. This contains brand new slices of morbidity in all it's repulsive, chunky and gurgled glory! Also for you gore hounds is bonus tracks that were originally the "Malodrous..." demo! Filthy and well laid-out tunes of groove-laden down tuned and chunky Gore Grind with horribly distorted vokills, like bobbing for brains in a bucket of vomit! Songs all about dead and rotting vaginas, my favorite! The combination of eroticism and macabre has always been a real passion for me. Necrophiles rejoice! Music is a bit low fi, not that that's a bad thing, the music is raw and filthy, very obscene! Negative shots of reality death for the inlet. Corpses! Everything about this gets me excited and it will you too. This band is not only on Will Rahmer of MORTICIAN's playlist but mine too, are you having any doubts that this isn't the sickest? Real drums and kind of a GUT style midpaced style of the lovable genre. Not pure blast, fans of UTOPIE, GUT, C.U.M. etc. should, heck everyone should own it! End of story, experience PLASMA for yourself! WOMB/DESCIPLES OF MOCKERY Necroharmonic Productions This has been a good time for true death metal! What with the likes of ABSCESS spewing forth a Gore Death opus, NECROPHAGIA being as active as ever both with metal and horror film alike, INCANTATION going strong, and Reifert, Killjoy both teaming up for THE RAVENOUS, the true bands have more than proven dedication. They are the original masters and are still kicking the scene's ass to boot. Splendid, no? Well what have we here? Underground patron Roy Fox, an extreme music name that should be familiar to all by now, has put out this chunk of death metal masterwork! This is ex members of the almighty INCANTATION, WOMB was conceived in '95 with a 5 song demo which was not released until now, here on this CD! Two bassists and a drummer. WOMB is plodding, heavy and just plain evil. The music is doomy and slow with a sludging bass sound that pounds, droning you into a morbid utopia. Deep and guttural death growls done in the clarible yet monstrous style. Long tracks, roughly 5 minutes. Check out the second track, for a song with a title as silly-sounding as "Thong", this sure is malevolent! A doom anthem that stretches over 7 minutes, no vocals, but the utter heaviness in groove is what pounds a chill smoothly into your mentality. The music is perfect for when your cruising through the graveyard ghetto and you want to pump some sick beats in your hooptie, whilst hungint them mutha phuckaz who dissed your boy. D.O.M. is basically the same guys with an additional guitarist, and playing only one bass and showcasing an altered sound. Similar, yes but not as slow, more of the average paced death metal. This part was recorded in '98 as a promotional CD. The packaging is very sleek giving a real cool presentation. All black with a funky crossed-arrow symbol. Simple, less is more style. If you are into death at all, this is an item you should get for your collection, and for the sake of bringing the malevolence of true death back, crank it loud! CURSED RUIN "s/t" Fuck The Scene Productions Here's the first of any reminder which you'll find in any non-grind review! A reminder that Pus Vomit's existence was born of my love and dedication to the most gory, violent, chaotic and cult form of music, yeah gore grind! That doesn't mean it's the only music I like! I dig plenty of death/black/metal and at times even get into some rap/hip hop etc. So basically the web is for my true passion but I won't hesitate to review other genres that I still want to review! I don't separate myself from others just cuz it's not exactly my favorite kind! That out of the way, on with the review! I just read that Josh from VOMIT SPAWN does drums!? Cool! I must have missed that! CURSED RUIN is totally twisted and blasphemous black death metal! I may not be the best to review this because I'm not the biggest metal connoisseur but this is what I'd describe as no-nonsense sick and evil old school death with slightly melodic yet brutal guitar riffs, blasting and unique drum assaults, with retching high vocals that are nasty but almost coherent, and matched by totally low and all natural growls for a duo vocals! Fast as hell and totally aggressive giving that great dark feel that good, classic death gives. Occult black titles in 6 tracks with 3 more tracks that are live versions. Sound is raw and good, nothing that gives the impression of a pro studio but still very good! Well done! I can see CURSED RUIN appearing on a bigger label in the future, but for now it's only available to the truly  sick that are cool enough to dig into the DIY for an obscure but awesome release like this! Acutally, even though Ern's FTSP is just him and isn't quite full scale, with works like this it may be moving up sometime to Razorback status? I don't mean by releasing stuff more marketable, but Ern is suddenly putting out some real good releases that are presented as good as any DIY release is going to get! Cover is the less is more, logo only on black, sick logo! CD-R cover graphics are fucking awesome, and the inner sleeve is real cool occult style sketchings of your typical but ever-cool blasphemous pentagram and Necronomicon prophetic scripture stylings, yes! Sure, posers embellished and perverted all these cool elemensts and turned them not only cliche but gay, and fucked it over for the true fans while shithole poser fags leave what it was meant to be by the true fans in ruins, then moved on to the next trend-devoured genre to fuck that up (touch gore grind and feel my wrath faggot, even though the gorenasty is so vile that posers melt when they try to touch it). Bands like CURSED RUIN keep it real in the midst of the crap that the "scene" became, so if you want to crank some totally true, raw and cult black death tunes, this is the release to own. Ern was telling me about a band called GOAT WHORE too, how could you go wrong? Keep it real and sick! Hail! YEAST INFECTION "Promo 2001" Josh Ace and the rest of the boys in that sick Colorado based scene have done a ton of sick projects, just to rattle off some there's DISMEMBERED FETUS, FESTERING PUKE, PIMP DADDY AND THE CRACKHEADS, GLASS PIPE and more! I think Ace even recorded with CAPTAIN 3 LEG once? Maybe I'm wrong, so don't get all annoyed if so! All sick and totally straight up grind and noise! DISMEMBERED FETUS was the main then, maybe YEAST INFECTION is the current real deal? Should be, because it's freaking awesome grind! I wish I was better at comparing grind bands, but I'd first describe as a traditional pissed-off grind sound a la NAPALM DEATH etc. It's fast with some real crushing guitar vibes and some of the most cool and totally raging and angry vocals ever! Drums go from blasts to some insane fills, bass does the cool raw fuzz sound, music will slow to some killer death riffs here and there making it hard to say that the music is %100 grind blasts. It'd be so killer to see these guys live!!! Hey YEAST INFECTION, go play the Brewery in Troy, Ohio!!!! I could go for some sick grind after that fucking GUIDED BY VOICES show!
