| INTESTINAL DISGORGE "Whore Splattered Walls" Lofty Storm Another team effort by Marco and Lofty storm, Fernando's excellent design and a truly sick band to make another addition to your collection of extreme musick! Beginning with a package littered with brutal gore pictures, and even a very intriqueing diagram of a murder scene, you probably know what to expect from the INTESTINAL DISGORGE boys! But just in case I'll do my best to dissect the sound for you! I.D. remain bludgeoningly fast and noisier than a car crash, with an onslaught of chaotic screams, grunts, growls and harmonized vomits, splashing together crudely to create virtual murderous sickness... 22 songs, a little change in sound (I'll get to that), I'd originally thought that there was more length to the songs as the running time was 51 minutes, but no, it's one of those annoying silent run-ons in the last track! The element of I.D. that was hinted at only slightly in the last release they have elevated this time, which may give more appeal to the death guys, and maybe a smidgeon less to the noisers! It's still totally noisy and violent, but will slow down to totally typical brutal death sound, like ANAL CUNT adding some more INTERNAL BLEEDING parts! This is not a complaint, I still found this very enjoyable although the two sounds don't totally flow together, but is nonetheless very cool, and that they remain very grind pleases me. But you can't help but feel at times like there's a little choppiness in their attempts at other genres of extreme music, or that perhaps some members had different ideas than the others? I hear death elements in a ton of my fave grind acts but I.D. seems to be the only one to really get that "slam riff" thing going amidst the nastiness, even vocals get that stompin' groove growl which could be as appropriate as it is cheesy sounding. Hell was I.D. ever meant to be taken seriously? No, but if the slight element of U.S. style death that seems to be a turn off to many doesn't bother you, I strongly urge you to buy this! Don't let my description deter your idea of extremely sickening noisy grind! Those bitch screams do get slightly out of hand but are funny as hell! And yeah a lot of the mid-paced riffs I really enjoyed! This label must be supported! DECOMPOSING SERENITY/MICROPHALLUS Lofty Storm Wow! Yes, to go in hand with other LSR releases here is by far my favorite of the fresh batch! What a release! This one has been a treat to my ears and soul since I unwrapped it. DECOMPOSING SERENITY you should all know, insane, fast and twisted! This particular recording remains similar to most material, low burping growls are very present and Witter uses more of demonic hiss for his highs than the maniacal screams, it's so gleefully demented you can't help but love it! On top of that, the imaginative horror feel to everything as Witter is known for has such appeal, having combined insects, flowers, fairies and now dolls mainly to his demented tales of dismemberment and post mortem art hobbies, it's fantastic! The cheesy but eerie keyboard effect in "Scatter the flowers on her mutlated torso" is a real treat, and yes, thrashing and very catchy riffs infest the maniacally fast drum programs, even twisted and humorous samples injected to the sounds here and there. I would like to take the liberty of dedicating track 13 to my first crush! For D.S. alone it is beyond the point where it's worth your purchase of this, but I'm not done, we move on to MICROPHALLUS! This is my first listen since some MP3s forever ago, where are you Drew? All made by computer which I know will turn many heads but for those of us who love this fresh and twisted form of synth insanity you'll definitely want to check into this! Drew has since put more length to his songs and beefed up the sound with some bizarre cyber-sewage sounds! All very absract and zoned-out to the ears, but very violent and noisy at the same time! Vocals are dreadful slop regurgitated appropriately and drum programs remain fast and violent, also the mentally ill intros are the perfect touch! The "sterile" sleek black and white layout is ideal for this release as both bands have featured the classic horror look combined with modern sickness, like an old silent film portraying both bands, adding to that cult effect. Especially with the assortment of dismembered and evil dolls for Witter's side, and wait until you see the excellent picture used for the MICROPHALLUS side! I'm pretty sure Fernando was behind this layout also! I don't even need to tell you this, but buy this release! COCK AND BALL TORTURE/DISGORGE (Mexico) Lofty Storm Finishing off these latest releases of genius composition is this heavy, dripping and goresoaked package of a digipak MCD! Layout this time by Sascha of C&BT and his own Grindesign! Modern and stylish but boasting the vile that reflects the sound of this MCD, C&BT featuring a weird chick and a dildo, then some foot fetish stuff within! That dirty toilet humor of the band goes on, titles are a riot also with "Poontang Clan" and "Titty Torture Bondage Boys"! C&BT have 4 tracks similar to "Opus(sy)" style, longer songs, belting heavy grooves with well-proportioned faster parts, all played disgustingly low with a thickness that should increase your testosterone levels! And yes, horribly low vomit vocals, blech! Wonderful! A band that continues to amaze me! I can't wait for their second full length! DISGORGE feature their signature style, chaotic, fast and sickening with hints of old CARCASS meshed with a brutal death sound that does not hurt the sickness of the band. Tortured rasps and guttural growls with frenzied riffs and variating drum attacks. They do a GRAVE cover also! Well done even though I've never heard the original! Raw and dirty pathological freaks! Great zombie cover, very well done, look in the bottom left corner of the cover, yikes! Definitely a gore release you need! PUTRID PILE "Bleed For Me" Demo 2001 CD-R Again I proclaim that Pus Vomit's gore grind slant does not discriminate against good, sick death! I personally prefer focus my time and interests (as well as limited money) into pure gore grind because it just happens to be my favorite style over others, but with releases like PUTRID PILE how can I deny the true brutal death? Never! This band is one man, utilizing a drum machine with a ripping guitar desecrating the senses with evil riffs, while in no way anything new, enough in that it is played superbly and that the product rules enough to eliminate any disappointment in that this is any different stretch of the style, it's just too damn good. Low grunting growls of hatred and the more frenzied higher ones switching back and forth mutually devestating and horrific. Song layouts variate from one badass riff to the other, speeding up, and then getting that mid-paced mosh thing going. While many of you may prefer to stick with the more splatterific and noisy sewage gore, freaks for the good death in the pure US vein as INTERNAL BLEEDING or LIVIDITY, you will want to keep your eye balls on Shaun and his monstrosity that is PUTRID PILE. Here's some gore grind that I eat up and hartily devour with much malignant joy! Some fans have been turned off by the lack of thickness to the othewise very brutal and extremely morbid sound, but me personally, this is my barg bag that I can't get enough of! Demented and twisted intros a la MORTICIAN or other aforementioned, chuggin' sick guitar nastiness, retching squeals of vomit ridden insanity, all the elements that make gore grind my cup of pus! Morbid musick for morbid minds, this disgusting CD-R compiles material from past cassette releases and puts them into a festering package of 59 songs and over 73 minutes. Low grunts of filth and raunchy high gurgles, yucky! This isn't pure noise, riffs and drum programs are constructed into tunes of sickness quite well, true, better production would greatly intensify the wonderful gory onslaught that TRAUMA-TEAM is, I love it either way, but we'll see where this project goes, there are other releases I believe, don't forget to ask for a great cataloge of only the sickest releases when ordering this for $6 from MMS! By the way, freaking disgusting cover picture! Great song titles too! TUMOUR "Rancid Deformities" Mangled Maggot Stew Begin with the colorful , rotten cadaver on the cover and pop in this CD-R to hear drum machine blasted gore grind with killer riffing and disgusting grunts, you have here more gore! Very similar to TRAUMA-TEAM, maybe a more heavy sound slightly, and just the low grunts for vocals, I think this is just done by Rogier as TRAUMA-TEAM is him and another. Sick and depraved intros, once again MORTICIAN and CATASEXUAL fans take notice! Killer riffs that could indeed sound better with some heavier effects if you ask many others but I of course got much enjoyment from this release! 22 tracks nearing 35 minutes of sickness, again compiled from previous tape releases I think.
