&About RfD

'Recipe for Disaster' is my personal site where I formally showcased most of my art. It was created in August 2003, after being inspired by my cousin's personal art site. At first I used a pre-made template found here on Yahoo!. The pre-made template definitely saved me a lot of brainwork, but I soon found myself wishing for something a lot more flexible with more space. I began exploring Yahoo! File Manager and HTML Editor, but found I had no clue what either one was for. Thus began my never-ending search for HTML and CSS tutorials and scripts.

Needless to say RfD's first HTML version was not exactly the best, but it was a lot better than a pre-made template, and I was definitely happier with it overall. RfD hasn't grown much since those first months [As a matter of fact, it recently shrunk.], but navigation and layout has become considerably cleaner and easier to use. Someday when I'm more accomplished in my HTML and CSS skills I hope to have a personal domain, but until then I'm happy with the way this site is.

Now for the questions that haven't been addressed before: Why was RfD made? And what is it about? To answer the first question... I don't remember. It's possible that I was just bored on that summer day two years ago and making a website sounded like a worthwhile project. As for the second question, RfD isn't about anything in particular. Even I don't know what it's about. It has no theme, no rhyme or rythmn, no purpose at the moment other than to amuse myself and make me feel important. RfD was originally a website to showcase my entire artwork collection [Though that is not the reason it was made.], but that idea fell after a few months of trying to keep up with my own rate of drawing. However, I do have a few ideas up my sleeve for RfD, but for right now, everything is staying the same.
