Art!
Some of my first memories include art; playing with watercolours, my mom hanging up pictures that I drew on the fridgerator, my dad telling me what a little artist I was. As I grew older, my drawings became more detailed, and as a result I started using a pencil more often then crayons or paints.
Most of my earlier drawings included animals or plants, and it was seldom that I drew people. When I was about the age of eight, I became intensely interested in two things: horses and dogs. These two mammals became the prime subjects of all my art.
As the years progressed, my interest in animals dwindled, and I found myself focusing more on people as art subjects. I continued to draw animals, but the concentration I had before was rather lost upon them.
I've had quite a few art classes during my earlier years, but none of them has sparked my interest. Undoubtedly they have all taught me a few things, but I find that during most of the classes, my interest seemed to wander off, and so I no longer sign up for classes. Instead, I have bought a number of art books, which are also boring, but easier for me to learn from. I find that the chief way I have learnt what little I know by viewing and studying other artists' work.
Recently my interest in art has sky rocketed, and I find myself concentrating on light and texture, shadow and colour throughout every portion of my day. I ask for art supplies at every holiday, and draw pictures at every occasion.
OKAY! Now that that boring narration is over, take a look at my gallery!
