hiding your soul is like walking in place
why must it be so hard to show our emotions?
even for those open to all
fake tough attitudes and stoicism make an outsider prone to anxiety
don't hide, you make me feel alone
don't act tough, you make me feel inferior
tell me exactly how you feel and I'll return the favor
do not fear, I am not a selfish person
nothing you say will make me think any less
I want to know what you think of me
I want to know the truth
I will listen
and I don't think it's too much to ask in return
please share with me your soul
it makes this world a lot less stressful to live in
