blood lipstick... Blood Lipstick

persecution and ridicule never felt so good
when I'm finally myself and people react
I won't put on blood lipstick for you
I won't apply my blush of blood to save me from your wrath
accept me for who I want to be
my clothing and make-up is art to reveal my nature
of what I held back in the past
this is my leap into my skin
I won't put on blood lipstick for you
I won't apply my blush of blood to save me from your wrath
so in my true form I now go
not listening to the remarks being made around me
laugh or judge not about appearance
love me for who I was and still am
a loving, caring, empathetic fellow human being
I won't put on blood lipstick for you
I won't apply my blush of blood to save me from your wrath
