butterfly caught in the draft... Butterfly Caught in the Draft

another in a long series of tragedies
a constant flow that just adds up
adds up until I begin to fall apart
like a butterfly caught in the draft
spiraling out of control, whipping in the current
how much longer until I snap
or get thrown unto my peril?
I long for the nightfall
for the confusion to cease
to fill myself with peace
to work my way towards the light
the Moon in its fullness calls to me
I see it in my dreams
my dreams sometimes take over
and I forget about the constant turmoil
but only for a bit
daybreak comes and takes me with it
into the dreary eternal days
I often feel like a butterfly caught in the draft
whose only dream is to fly to the brilliant light of the full Moon
