The Pink Film Festival is 100% volunteer driven and has been operating solely on the strength of its volunteers. We need men and women who are interested in helping out for PINK FESTIVAL 2005.
We would need people above 18 years of age, capable and willing to do basic festival duties which are the following:
- Advertise the festival to the general public.
- Encourage mature audiences to watch the screenings individually or organize groups, classes and organizations specially groups that are members or leaders of.
- Obtain sponsorships and financial assistance such as media sponsors, food suppliers, transportation companies, internet and telecoms providers, hotels and donors and patrons.
- Forward official press releases to media outlets and internet groups
- Offer existing mini-events or organize concurrent mini-events to support the Pink Film Festival.
- Distribute festival-related leaflets and flyers to mall shoppers and students
- Assist main staff in moving equipment and running errands
- Promoting the festival in internet chat rooms, e-groups and websites

The festival prefers volunteers who are part of circles involved in art, cinema, academics, marketing, health care, civic citizens movements and non-government staff work. Heterosexual men and women are more than welcome.
Inquiries will be entertained only after review of emailed inquires and after face to face interviews at an office to be announced by ProGay in May. Notices will be emailed to people who have submitted their interest by email.
Volunteers who are college undergraduates presently enrolled in any school need to present a letter of consent signed by their guardians and noted by their class advisers.
The festival does not promise compensation, food or transportation but these can be possible if the volunteers produce corporate sponsorships to cover these expenses. Some of the work can be done at home and within the shopping mall. At the most, volunteers will be rewarded with free admission for himself/herself and one companion to the screenings during off-duty hours. Since duty details will be apportioned in short assignments only, free admission to individual volunteers will be for him/her and his/her companion only regardless of length of extra hours that the volunteer may add to his or her duty.
Volunteers who contribute work from their offices and homes must show convincing proof of their contribution to be able to avail of the free admissions. Certificates of completion are optional and will be provided when the volunteer explicitly requests for those.
Work periods are between May 5 and June 14. Around five to seven volunteers for on-site work at the mall will be accepted, while another three off-site volunteers may be accepted depending on actual need that materializes for the festival. Deadline for email submissions of resumés is on May 10, 5:00 p.m.

The PINK FESTIVAL 2005 is a grand June Pride film and arts event focusing on LGBT rights, HIV/AIDS and reproductive health issues in Manila, Cebu, Iloilo and Cagayan de Oro presented by ProGay, Mowelfund Film Institute and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts.
