Popstar!: What went through your head when you made the eight?
Jacob: Blessed. Actually, I didn't want to go to the audition. My friend was like, "I'm going to be gone all day, you might as well go." So I'm like, "All right--I'll go."
Once I made the eight, I was like, "This is a trip. I didn't intend on any of this happening." I was standing on stage and I kept going, "Wow, I'm on a TV show."
Popstar!: You know about Rosie O'Donnell--she talks about the show a lot.
Jacob: She doesn't like me too much!
Popstar!: She was an Ikaika fan and she didn't like when you were "mean" to him. Any plans for you to win her over?
Jacob: Not everybody is going to like you. It sucks that someone famous doesn't like you. But Ikaika was messing around and making a mockery of the music. And I thought he wasn't taking it seriously.
Popstar!: Your resemblance to Justin Timberlake is even in your bio!
Jacob: Tha was a mistake! I don't get ticked off if someone related me to Justin--that's nothing that he nor I can deal with. God chose us to look alike, whatever. I'm older, so.... [Laughs]
Popstar!: Are you single?
Jacob: Single. Just having fun. I like someone who just knows how to chill. I *am* from San Diego.
Popstar!: What happens if you look at the camera?
Jacob: If we glance at the camera, it ruins the shot. It's editing. We shoot 200 hours a week and they put out 44 minutes.
Popstar!: Is there anything that was caught on camera that you wish hadn't been?
Jacob: Well, on the last episode I fell out of my chair. [Laughs]
