Across from him sat two more men, who were just watching us. One had a small briefcase. I also noticed our ankles tied together with the same rope. Seconds later, we heard Taylor groan. He slowly opened his eyes and looked at his hands. It took a moment for him to realise what had happened. His eyes widened as he immediately sat up, and backed up against the grid separating us from the driver. Troy was about to get up, before realising Taylor had frozen. "Taylor?" he began. Taylor's eyes shot towards him. Then he suddenly jumped as Isaac rolled onto his side and opened his eyes. He closed them again and groaned. "Do we have time to go back?" the driver asked. Taylor jumped again. "No," Troy replied, "go straight to the docks. Shame really..." He looked at Taylor. "I was looking forward to spending time in that other room with you," he said. I saw him shaking. It wasn't all that long before the van slowly pulled to a halt. One of the men in the back with us opened the back doors, and the two of them jumped out. Troy followed, pulling Amy and Angie with him. He took them somewhere as the two men suddenly grabbed Zac and I by the ankles and began to pull us out. They pulled us onto the pavement, and used a knife to cut our ankles free. The driver then came around to us, pulled Zac from the ground as one of the men grabbed me, and they began to lead us away. We were on a wooden jetty, quite far out. Back further down were two fishermen unloading the morning's catch. They never once looked our way. We saw we were heading for a boat just metres away. Troy met us halfway. "Do you need help with the older ones?" the driver asked. "Do I look like I could handle them? Follow me," he ordered. The driver let go of Zac and went to help. We boarded the boat, and were separated. I was taken down to the cabin while Zac was taken out the back. The cabin door was unlocked, and I was shoved in to meet Amy and Angie. As soon as the door closed, I ripped my gag off. "Are you guys ok?" I asked, moving my wrists around. "We're ok," Amy replied. She and Angie were sitting on opposite beds. Frustrated, I began biting at the ropes on my wrists. "Won't they do something to you if you get that off?" Angie asked, watching. "They'd do it to me anyway, stuff them," I replied, feeling the rope loosen. I soon had it off and went to untie Amy. As soon as I had hers off, the door opened again. Taylor was shoved in. He immediately sat back against a cupboard and didn't move. Once the door closed i went straight to him. "Taylor, are you ok?" I asked quietly, untying his wrists. He didn't reply. Amy set to work on Angie's. "Taylor?" I tried again, taking off his gag. He shook his head and put his head in his hands. I didn't know what to do. I looked up at the other two, who just looked away. I ended up just sitting next to him after we heard the engine start. The water seemed pretty calm, and we were silent for most of the trip. As the boat docked, the cabin door was opened, and we were fetched from inside. Standing on the concrete platform were Isaac and Zac, waiting with the rest of the men. As soon as we got off the boat we noticed Zac's forehead bleeding, and Isaac developing a black eye. "Why are they untied?" Troy demanded, almost nervously. "This is how we found them," one of the men replied. Troy shook his head and began to lead us away. We walked up a grassy hill, and came to another fence with barbed wire. We followed it along the top of the hill, and finally came to a gate. Once we were through, Troy made sure he locked it behind us. From the gate we followed a gravel path up to two main doors. Troy opened them, and we followed a corridor for about ten metres before emerging into a large, open, concrete floored room. "We seem to find alot of old jails, huh?" Troy grinned, as we were taken to the opposite corner. Three windows on both side walls supplied the only light. We stopped when we came to a wooden pole, and faced Troy. "Now..." he began, before being interrupted. "Why are there no ropes around their wrists?" came Matt's voice behind us, walking over. "They were found like this, sir," a man replied. Matt stood next to Isaac, and looked him and Zac up and down. "Let me guess... you had their wrists tied at the front then left them unsupervised," he shook his head, "even Craig wouldn't have done that." Troy hesitated, then gave a signal. Four of the men then took hold of Amy, Angie, Taylor and me and tied our hands behind our backs. Matt began walking behind Isaac. "As I was about to say..." Troy went on, "who exactly ran the escape?" Matt suddenly forced Isaac and Taylor to their knees. Taylor wouldn't take his eyes of Troy, and Isaac looked up. "These two," Matt almost growled. Isaac raised his eyebrows. "So what should we do with them?" a grin grew on Troy's face. "I say send them into isolation. Give them time to think," Matt replied, looking down on them from behind. Taylor glanced up at him. "Good idea," Troy replied. Two men suddenly entered from a nearby door. They each held white material, with straps hanging down. "Uh, we found these out back..." one of them began. Matt's eyes lit up as he turned to them. "Perfect!" he exclaimed, grabbing one, "this is just what they need." He turned back, unfolding it. "Know what this is Isaac?" he grinned. Ike's eyes widened as he unfolded it. It was a straightjacket. Taylor immediately fell into a sitting position and scrambled backwards. Troy stopped him. "You're not going anywhere," he said softly. Two men pulled Isaac from the ground. "Untie him," Matt ordered, walking over. Zac, Amy, Angie and I were held back. Isaac's wrists were untied, and the man held his arms out. Matt slid the jacket on without hassle, and they began to buckle all the straps. I noticed Taylor shaking again. Isaac had closed his eyes. Once the jacket was on, Matt shoved him toward another man. Then grabbed the other jacket. |
