Pride of the Hill Rathfriland 2003
The band wound its way through the mountains to Rathfriland for Pride of the Hill's 20th Anniversary parade. A late start parading for the band as we had to wait on Thomas who was running around Seaford wearing a kilt. Huge band out tonight with 9 drummers and 28 fluters. When we finally got away the band was playing excellent up the main street, the best I've heard us all year, Aces High was going particulary well judging by the crowds reaction when we stopped and played it. Good to have Stephen leading us again. Zero trophies tonight, just a few 2nds I think but full results should be on www.poth.co.uk. Not much craic happening either with boys standing up the streets eating chips, saving themselves for Scotland no doubt.
