Kilcluney Volunteers Marethill 2003

A huge parade with around 70 bands participating. Good to see Sons of Ulster, Glasgow leading the parade who I thought sounded superb playing British Legion. Big band for ourselves tonight wih 8 drummers and 24 fluters who paraded early despite John Shields' fashionably turning up late routine (only messin John). Band was a bit dead going up the main street tonight and choice of tunes wasn't the best but a solid performance nonetheless, drumming yet again excellent. Anyway band came away with Drum Corps and Senior Drum Major and 3rd Overall. Full results can be found at www.kvfb.co.uk. Not much craic to report either although I think Albert was soaking people in the Village and Rac'er spent the night wandering the streets on his own, probably looking for another Leeds fan.
